G-Force [Blu-ray]

Fair price
My 5 yr old loves this movie. Purchased it as you never know when it will leave Netflix and now we can take it on trips. My only disappointment was that the digital copy is a disk you insert into a computer versus a digital code. I like to keep my digital movies on Movies Anywhere which allows me to access them through several formats, including amazon prime. Shipping was fast and everything was just as I would expect. Would gladly order from this company again.

About five minutes were funny, then..ho, hum.
I like a lot of kids movies, they are fun. But this one, well, it's quite forgettable. Young kids will probably like it. There are a lot of gadgets in this movie, and cute guinea pigs. It will keep the kids occupied for a while. It did come well packaged.

5yo boy liked it, not so much anyone else
My little boys (5yo & 10yo) liked it alright, but no one else in the family really did. Interestingly, the human actors were far poorer than the CGI animals, in terms of expression, etc. How did that happen? There are funny parts to laugh at, even for the adults, but ... reasonably predictable, very tidy, sigh. We chose it as the movie for a "Boy Night" and they were happy. The next night was "Girl Night" and we watched *Leap* which was a far better story and one the whole family enjoyed (10yo boy, too, but not so much the 5yo boy!).

Great movie!
Okay,I admit it. I'm a sucker for the CGI genre of animation. But even if I weren't, I'd recommend buying G-Force, strongly! This is one of those wonderful action/adventure/buddy films that we constantly see, except it's main stars are CG guinea pigs. And you know what? It's hard to tell that the animal actors aren't real animals to which some CG artist has applied facial expressions. In fact, in the scenes involving real dogs and CG animal actors, the average viewer would be hard-put to determine which is which. And the plot is nice as well. We've got five team members, a vole, three guinea pigs and a fly, who ACT as a team - complete with banter, friendship, competition and individual personalities - who find themselves cut loose from their support systems even as they realize that there's a plot to (Well, no need to give away the story here, am I right?)... Along the way, they face tragedy, adversity and plenty of non-stop action.Yes, I would recommend this film for anyone's home library.

Disappointed
Bought the blu-ray/dvd set so the children could watch in the car. Imagine my surprise today upon opening and finding a memorex cd. Did not even attempt to play it. First time I've ever seen the digital copy as a cd also. Blu ray works, other two in the trash. $6.00 for a blu ray isn't bad, it's just not what I paid for.

Family Fun!
For anyone wondering if they should make the investment in 'G-Force" - even if they saw it in the movies in 3D - the answer is yes. This is a very good story. Albeit with characters geared toward the younger generation, those of us who are young at heart, will enjoy the story as well as the characters. In the same manner as "Cars", "Shrek" as well as others before it, there are many moments in G-Force when the "younger" generation is not going to "get it." It is a fun movie that keeps your interest and just entertains the viewer. No questioning - what did that mean? - who do you think that was supposed to be? etc. You just watch it, enjoy it and it's done! The animation - as always - is excellent although you would expect nothing less from Disney. It's a fun, entertaining, movie.

G force is a 5 star
Good movie for 7and up. My younger kids got scared in certain parts. We have bought over 300 movies from amazon to watch on our fire stick and this was a definitely a good buy. My kids watched it twice in an evening. It is a keeper. I always enjoy Walt Disney movies from those years and years ago to current ones all are well done. Even those I really do not care for are always well done. You never go wrong with a Walt Disney production.

Just Getting the Movie to Start is a WAR
G-Force is a great movie, I highly recommend it, but wait for a better DVD Treatment.Allow lots and lots and lots of time to get the movie started.UOPs (User Operation Prohibition) are enabled on this DVD meaning that you cannot skip over many parts of the DVD and are FORCED to watch things you have no interest in.While it is easy to purchse a DVD player that overrides UOPs, there are no Blu-ray players that do this YET.Avoid this presentation of the movie. When a later one is released that is not hostile to the viewer, buy it only then.

Cute guinea pigs weird film
The only positive is the cute little talking guinea pigs. I find this really weird as a adult when the machines come to life and the mole part. Don't think it's suitable for kids in the slightest. Will be giving it to charity wouldn't recommend.

Pigs forever!
I am a complete guinea-pig-phile, if there is such a thing. Loved this film: it's so funny, and it captures a lot of the lovable characteristics of piggies. I sadly missed it at the cinema, so didn't catch the 3-D effects, which must have been awesome, but I've watched it twice already, and I shall bring it out whenever I feel a bit down. I couldn't help being anxious, though, when Hurley seized the pepperoni with joy...guinea pigs, after all, are strictly vegetarian. Maybe it should carry a 'don't try this at home with your own piggies' warning.Brilliant.

Great dvd
I had got this for my niece and nephew as they love my Guinea pig and I mentioned this film to them. They love it. Kept up to date with shipping as it took longer than originally stated which was fine with me. Came in excellent condition brand new still sealed. Thank you very much.

Two for the price of one
I bought this for my nephew at Christmas thinking we could keep the DVD version here and he could watch the BlueRay version at home and thereby have the film at both locations............. we forgot........... so now he has both at home - one in his room and one for the main TV. Probably excessive to have both - one would have done........... but the Amazon price was so good that i gave in. he's happy so I'm happy!!

Well worth a look
Mixed views on this clearly, and a damning Metacritic score to boot, but don't let that put you off. This was a real surprise, I'll admit; 'The Incredible Journey' meets 'Mission Impossible', well-directed with high production values, great gadgets and effects work, good supporting cast, and a pacy and engaging narrative climaxing in a suitably 'big bang' finale. My 8-year-old daughter, who has this year loved both 'Coraline' and 'Up', insisted on watching it twice in a row - a first. What more can I say?
