this lighting cable is stiff its not flexible, long cable, cheaply made its great for value spent if one needs it

My mom is obsessed with her iPad and keeping it 100% charged at all times (don't ask), so this cable gets a lot of use. The cable starts to fray where it enters the iPad after 9 months of 8-12 hours a day of use -- still perfectly safe and usable (I adopted the most recent one, because I just charge it at night), but a great deal for the price.

I was looking for a short and inexpensive charging cord for my phone to take to work. So far, I have had it for about six months, give or take, and I have not had any issues with charging. It's a little bit slower than average, but it gets the job done. I work as a teacher, so my phone is plugged in for hours at a time, so it works well for me. It most definitely won't work well for people who need to charge their phone for a brief amount of time. One problem that I ran into was when transferring documents to and from my phone. I didn't buy this for the purpose of transferring documents, but when I tried to do it, the computer had problems recognizing it. This was not a problem that I had with my previous charging cords, and it could have more to do with my computer than the cord, but it's worth noting at any rate.

I was initially concerned with all of the negative reviews, but after a week of usage, I'm very glad to say that this is a great cable and I haven't had any issues at all. The item name mentions "New Release" so I'm guessing a lot of the earlier issues have now been resolved with this version of the cable. Upon arrival, I was immediately happy to see that this cable came packaged in it's own product box, where it is well protected during delivery. I absolutely hate receiving Amazon purchases that are packaged in a bag and are potentially damaged during shipping. The cable itself has got a nice textured grip on both ends, which makes it feel higher quality and also makes it easier to grab when attaching/detaching. I also noticed that it has a thicker shell than my other cable, which will hopefully help protect from extreme bends or drops. Luckily, as you can see in the image I've included, the extra size of the shell does not prevent it from being used with a case, as there is still a lot of space left over on all sides. At around $8, some might consider this cable to be a bit expensive, since you can usually buy a cheap pack of cables for around this price. But from my experience, those usually stop working or break after a day or two. This is definitely well worth the small price for a better product. Plus, just like many other Amazon Basics items, this comes with Lifetime Warranty, which definitely gives me peace of mind.

These Amazon Basics USB-A to lightning cables are good charging cables and reasonably priced. I've purchased several in various lengths in both black and white for use at home, in the car and for travel. With 3 of us using them, they tend to disappear occasionally, hence I'm ordering another one. This lightning cable is made in China.

In the 5+ years I've had an iphone 6s and the iphone 5 before that I think I've spent more money on the cables than I have on the actual phones. The cables from Apple are junk, the ones you buy in convenience stores or drug stores are junk. The only difference between them is the price and just how junky they are. I've purchased at least 4 of these from Amazon. They typically last 4-6 months. At that point the cable starts to break down and you have to bend it in some way to make the wires in it connect so that it will charge the phone until the cord gets bumped and it stops charging. Often sometime around the 4-6 month period the phone starts spitting out errors about how it doesn't recognize the cable or it is not the right cable or something like that. I do actually use these cables in real life to charge the phone on the go, on the hiking or biking trails, in the car and elsewhere. If you only charge your phone at home and don't flex this cable it will probably last years. If you live an active lifestyle that includes taking your phone with you and needing to charge it on the go such that the cord must bend and flex then 6 months seems to be the maximum life for one of these. So far, these do always work when I order them and they seem to be the cheapest ones that do work reliably. They just don't hold up for more than 6 months in my experience.

The cable is quite sturdy and durable. The charging speed is also good. I can easily recommend this product from Amazon basics.

As compared to my IPhone wire charger, Amazon basic Charger not only robust & of a better quality plus the cost is very cheap. Thank You Amazon.

This cable is excellent. I managed to squash the usb connector when I pulled out the cable from the charger accidentally and run over it with my office chair this week. I thought that I would need to buy a new one, which I would have done, but then I tried fixing it by unsquashing the connect with a small key. After a couple of tries it worked. Then plugged it in and has worked every since then.. So, robust it is. Also it is a good length and reliable.
