great series

Recently started getting into the sopranos as I wanted to relive early 2000s. I want to hate Tony so bad but James Gandolfini just seemed like a genuine guy and there are moments when the actor shines through in the role of Tony. Great show, great cast, great deal.

Great Collection

Doesn't include at the very least, the final episode if not additional ones that I don't even know exist!

This is not a review of Sopranos the show, nor of the seller, or Amazon, but of the DVD product itself. This product sets itself apart from other DVD collections that I have purchased by giving every DVD (so far) a consistent naming scheme, and having the files on them trivially ripped by one of my DVD ripping softwares. So far, every DVD in this collection (I'm currently ripping the final season to my Plex server) uses the EXACT SAME naming convention, is not encumbered with ridiculous DRM technology, nor festooned with hundreds of meaningless zero-length files intended to confuse digital conversion.Too often, a collection of DVDs will have obviously completely different technological origins from season to season or even from disk to disk, being an utter mess from one moment to the next, showing carelessness in its assembly. This collection is consistent and clean. I know that no-one in a position of power to make changes to the DVD collections of the future will likely ever see this review, but here it is just in case.

I love DVDs. I have a large library that I watch and rewatch. I really wanted to enjoy the Sopranos DVD set. Episode 1 was fine. But on Episode 2 (on the same disk) the program started freezing and skipping almost continually. After this happened at least 50 times my patience was gone. It was totally unenjoyable to watch.I really wish DVD manufacturers would focus on a better quality product. There are a lot of people like me who don't want streaming services and prefer to have their own DVD library.
