The absolute best low flow spray!
We needed a new showerhead, and ended up decreasing our flow from a 1.75 gpm Niagara showerhead to this High Sierra 1.5gpm showerhead. However, it honestly feels like more pressure due to the droplet spray pattern. We rarely even use the full 1.5gpm spray, as we still get a great shower experience with the included shutoff valve partially closed! The shutoff valve is awesome for bathing our dog and our young kids. It would also be great if you are trying to get a lot of showers in a row out of a limited hot water tank, as you can shut off the water while soaping up. We don't do that often right now, but it's a great option to have for the future. My wife (who is shorter) loves it because there isn't a "missing middle". She always struggled when cleaning her hair on the normal "outside ring" stream shower heads, as she had to move around to get her whole head wet. Now, the whole spray area is full of water! The water does cool down a bit faster further from the showerhead since it is in droplets instead of a stream. However this just makes the shower air a bit steamier and warmer overall, so it's not really a con, just different! This shower head (and any other variety of it) is well worth the money. It is well built - all metal that will probably will last a lifetime - and it will eventually pay for itself with what you will save on water (and water heating)! Less water used, with a feeling of more water pressure! Good for you, your wallet, and the environment.

Work of Art
High Sierra's Solid Metal Handheld Shower Head with Trickle Valve, 2.0 GPM - Stunning Chrome Finish: This thing is a work of art. You know immediately when you pick it up that you've bought something special. It doesn't look like anything else. It doesn't feel like anything else. This is a beast. It is solid metal and it weighs quite a lot, although it is very well balanced in the hand. What's more, even though it weighs more than the big shower head I had, it does not tilt down under its own weight. Flow. I bought the 2.0 GPM because we have lost some water pressure locally and I didn't want to lose any more. But it turns out, I might not have needed all of that. This is a little different than what you're probably used to. It just blows water out at you in what might seem like random spray - as opposed to the well organized streams of a typical shower head. At first I felt a little lack of enthusiasm for this, mostly because I'd never had it like this before. So I got in. I was immediately soaked. I was impressed. As my shower went on, I put my face right underneath it and it seemed a little intense. That's when I discovered the beauty of the Trickle Valve! I gave the Trickle Valve so little thought because every single similar valve in any shower head I've owned in the past has leaked. It's been a hard 'switch' type feature that never really worked well enough to ever use, and so I was used to ignoring them. So imagine my surprise and delight when I pushed this one and found that it was a highly effective valve that gradually shut the water to off! Seriously! I now have the shower head running at somewhere between 1/2 and 1/3 capacity and it stays there, firmly. I just reduced the flow until it felt good on my face (probably 3" from the head) and left it! And that feels like it will be enough for my entire shower. There are some things that will take some getting used to. First of all, this shower head is kind of loud. Now I might be a little more sensitive than most because I work with audio for a living, but it is definitely louder than any other shower head I've had. It's a constant SSHHHHHH like the sound of someone shushing - not like water. This I believe is an aerator effect and what is interesting is when I stuck my finger into the end of it, it completely changed the output. I could actually tell how low the flow was and the sound stopped but was right back to normal when I removed my finger. Secondly, the 'chaotic' presentation of the water. When you've only ever known organized streams of water, to have this comparatively wild thrust of water gives me the sense that a mess is imminent. It is not and I think I can get use to that. Neither of these things is a deal breaker and not enough to take away a star, especially when you put it in your hand and feel the quality craftsmanship. Built in USA. Great job folks! Thank you! Sure, it costs a little more, but I really don't mind. You get what you pay for.

This is the best shower head that I have ever used
This is the best shower head that I have ever used. I love it. I put this in the kid's shower and now want one for my shower. I have tried many other shower heads (from 1.5 GPM to 2.5 GPM) and this one is much better than any of the other ones that I have every used - even better than the standard-flow shower heads. The water flow from this shower head is perfect. It feels like very full water flow - feels like so much water that I did not believe that it was only 1.5 GPM until I measured the flow rate myself and confirmed that it is only 1.5 GPM. The water flow is very unlike any other low flow shower head that I have used. The drops big and hit you softly, but in a way that makes it easy to get shampoo out of your hair and soap off of your body. I highly recommend this product. The handle works fine. It is very solid. It fit our existing tubing for the hand shower that we replaced. The button at the bottom of the handle can be used to turn off the water flow when shampooing your hair.

Highly recommend
Basically, it's easy to install, adaptable, and provides a cleansing shower. As expected, it's heavy in comparison to average shower heads, but not difficult to handle as long as you keep the weight in mind. The spray mechanism is unique, providing the feel of a heavy but gentle rain, without all the little holes that always clog in hard water. I could have bought this already based on all the shower heads I have replaced over the years due to clogging and just outright malfunctioning. It was extremely easy to install onto the old hose without teflon tape. The trickle valve is easy to use and actually drops the flow to a trickle. It's also very easy to adjust the angle without affecting the spray. And it sits perfectly in an existing hand-held wall mount that came with a common brand name system (the shower head of which is no longer functional).

Spray is narrow and unpleasant
The spray isn't very wide at all, unlike what the description and (poor) photos implied. And the feeling of the water is a bit unsettling with such large drops. Really doesn't seem worth it, especially given how expensive it is.

Water pressure feels good, shape is awkward. Trickle Valve depends on your plumbing
The water flow feels good for a low-flow head. The shape is a bit awkward since it is shorter than the other handheld shower heads-- the result is that I have to stoop under this one when it's in the same holder. The trickle valve blocks the flow, but the first time I used it, it would not turn off, so I couldn't get the water back on. The head had to be disassembled to unclog it. Not clear where the thing that blocked it came from, but the seller was very responsive and told me how to take it apart and offered to replace it if I didn't want to try that. In summary, though, I really like this shower head. I'm probably going to buy another for the kids' shower, and I'm recommending this to my friends and family. The water flow really does work well. It's not quite as powerful as the old-old-style with no restrictors, but it's way better than most low-flow ones I've tried. And the water savings is amazing!
