Homeschool Basics: How to Get Started, Keep Motivated, and Bring Out the Best in Your Kids

Seriously, this book changed my life. And I have recommended it to literally everyone I know who is interested in homeschooling. I was on the fence about homeschool... but between a series of events and finding this book, I am all in 100% with homeschooling. This book encouraged me that even though I don't have any experience, our homeschool can still be successful! I plan to read this every summer just to refresh my mind. This is the best homeschool resource I've found. Especially as a beginner with no homeschooling background.

It’s so hard to put down! So well written from a Christian mother’s stand point. I absolutely love the prayers at the end of each chapter. They are so encouraging and also, remind us Who it’s really for.I’m so pumped to finish reading the book and get started with my 4 year old son this coming year. Thanks, Tricia and Kristi!

It's a decent book to get an idea of homeschooling from. I wish there was more info. More like details. Especially with coming up with your own coursework.

If you’re a first year homeschooling Mom or Dad you need to invest in this book! I would pay double or triple for this book again! It’s worth every penny! Awesome book! Tons of practical and essential everyday advice for those just getting started in homeschooling or those that have done it for years. This is a book that I'll keep on my desk indefinitely as a great resource! Easy to read as well. Tricia and Kristi are super knowledgeable and practical when it come to their homeschool advice! One of the best homeschooling books I've read.

I bought this book excited to learn practical tips as we begin our homeschool journey. Although I did have a couple "ah-ha" moments, it's very religious. We are secular, and it was frustrating to read all the religious jargon when all I wanted was real tips, I often found my self skimming over most of it because it's constantly telling you to pray, etc. Great if you are religious but I found it quite frustrating.

Amazing book and truly inspiring. I was so frustrated and overwhelmed with the start of the year. This book helped in so many ways. I HIGHLY recommend this book to all new homeschooling parents.
