Wise 101 - The Plank - Boat Trailer Tongue Walkway Platform, Grey

I do a lot of fishing alone - which means unloading and loading the boat at the ramp alone. I got tired of walking the trailer tongue while loading to hook up the winch rope. I'm too old to balance beam. And if I slip and have to jump...that ramp is gonna be slimey and slick - I'm going down. Ya'll know what I mean if you been there. So I bought this, and love it. Easy install, fits the bill, and holding up well. I bought it 2 years ago. Highly recommend for us coots wanting to stand on something more stable than the trailer frame.

I ordered this walkway after slipping on my boat trailer and hitting my shin on the corner of the sharp aluminum C channel beam by the crank (I'll spare the grisly details but it involved 3 sutures and a tetanus booster).I chose this product after finding others in my search were thin metal and didn't seem up to the task of supporting my weight. I'm 6' even and 300lbs., so I didn't want it to sag or buckle under my weight. The shipper got this one right out and it arrived quickly. The box was resealed by the USPS with their "open package" tape but everything was present and accounted for.The only thing I wasn't too impressed with was the traction tape provided with the product. It may work perfectly fine, but I wasn't taking any chances after my mishap. I recently had my truck sprayed by a big name bedliner company so I took the bare walkway there to get coated. They had it finished within a few days and ready to install on my trailer to cover up that nasty burr edge on the aluminum, which it did perfectly. It seemed pretty sturdy for an injected moulded plastic piece, but the bedliner definitely increased that and added the much needed non-skid to the entire surface.I was unsure about the longevity of the zinc coated hardware taking my boat out in a mixture of salt and fresh water, so I picked up 4ea. 3/8" x 6" stainless steel carriage bolts, 4 3/8" ss split lock washers, and 3/8" ss free run nuts to mount it with. It bolted up perfectly with no obstructions. The carriage bolt hardware snugged up perfectly nesting into the recessed holes and sit just flush with the walkway surface.Overall I am thoroughly impressed with the product. It was easily customizable to my additional needs and worked out perfect for my application. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again in the future for more boat trailers or recommend it to others for theirs.

It does what I want to do. Makes it easier to stand on my trailer tongue to load my boat. It is very easy to install with out any special tools.

Box was unopened. But no sign of the mounting hardware whisper the listing says is included.

So I am 55 years old , and just bought a little fishing boat for recreation bluegill fishing . Years ago , I could easily master walking down the trailer to hook the rope up . One in a while I would fall , but overall , I had it down to an art . Well... 20 years later , My balance and weight seem to make this more difficult , the first couple times out proved this board is a necessity ... It Came like it was opened once , but all hardware was there to mount on my trailer . It fit perfectly and did the job the last couple outings . Great product , and a great price .. I would buy again .

Planks is good . Package did not have any bolts , nuts , washers or straps .Very dissatisfied !When you receive your item you expect it to be correct .

I use these for retrieving the boat. I jump down off the bow and land on these. Then I winch it in the rest of the way. Much better than trying to land on the rail. Solid so far. They are plastic so it's not like a solid metal step.

Very good price. Appears to be good quality although I haven't used it yet. Easy to install in minutes. The mounting bolts are plenty long enough (7-8") to fit most any trailer frame. The only detractor was that it arrived without the mounting hardware or non-skid pads. I contacted the company directly by phone and left a voice-mail on a Sunday. I received a return call the next day(a holiday) from Dawn in customer service. She assured me that they would get the hardware and pads in the mail next day, no charge. On Wednesday I got the missing items by FedEx. I can't say enough how impressed I was with the level of customer service exhibited by Dawn at the Wise company. Way to go!

Went on trailer easily ,very stable, makes loading boat a lot easier

we bought this for our pontoon boat trailer.Many times my husband has almost slipped off a wet boat trailer when bringing the boat out of the water.We highly recommend this walkway platform and it fits on the trailer perfectly and does not ruin the looks of your trailer

a little flimsy, wonder how long it will last in the outdoors.
