QUEEN EXPORT Metal Tabla Tuning Hammer

A hammer is finally a hammer. So I'll keep it even though they could easily have given a better piece or with better finish quality.Many sellers showing same or similar display images with lot of difference in selling price from 100+ to 800. I bought a midrange one (300) hoping it might give a good balance between too bad and too good quality. Tough luck.In hindsight I feel this is just a marketing/pricing strategy to sell same quality stuff at different price points. Quite frequently seen in online stores.Anyway a few points of review :Hammer is quite roughly cast. A normal hammer from hardware store is better made in terms of finish.For example the hammer head is a bit twisted to one side and down which will make it difficult to hit the exact spot while tuning the tabla. This can result in damaging the gajra if you don't take extra care with aim.It has low quality finishing. However no rough edges are seen.The silver coloured plating is flaking a bit in different places. This may result in rusting over time. I guess I'll just buy a new one then.Anyway even writing this review is an extra waste of time except that it may help another buyer as most tabla hammers don't have any review comments.It's best to go to a store and physically verify before buying.
