Dobro Christmas Songbook

I absolutely love this book! I play a little keyboard and this book has the lyrics, the piano score, and the GBDGBD tablature for each song. And the tablature is an easy-to-play style for each song. This book is perfect for beginner players. It would probably be too easy for a good player.There is one statement in the introduction in this book that confused me at first. It says, "All songs, except 'Away in a Manger,' are in the same key and can be played together." It evidently means that this book's songs are all in the same key as two other Mel Bay books except for Away in a Manger. I thought it was saying all the songs in this book are in the key of G except for one song. There are 27 songs in this book. One is in the key of A Major, two in A minor, two in B flat Major, one in D Major, seven in C Major, and 14 in G Major. I bought a capo for my resonator guitar and this means I can play all of these songs with a little practice.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this book. For a beginner, the songs are great (some harder than others but I'm just starting out). I'm guessing an advanced player would find these too easy, but for starting out, they're perfect. Easy to read and understand--makes me feel like I can jump right into playing songs rather than just following technique books. Would highly recommend.

not what I expected from Mel Bay. it only had single note transposition.

Nice Christmas song book!

I don’t really see the point of this book. It’s just single note melodies of carols. I was expecting proper arrangements. This book is only suitable for complete beginners I.e. if you’ve had no experience of any musical instrument.I’m a beginner at the dobro but play the guitar - I’m sure many people who play dobro are in this boat - yet this book is too basic and pointless for me.I was looking for a book with familiar tunes but to help me understand the possibilities of the dobro.This is surprisingly basic and disappointing for a Mel Bay book.

はっきり言って、ドブロとは何の関係もありません。クリスマス・ソングの楽譜にコードとTAB譜がついているだけ。しかもTAB譜はメロディーのみ。しかもところどころ間違っている。どういうつもりで作った本なのか意味わかりません。表紙が綺麗なところが唯一の評価ポイントでしょうか。
