I have built a large amount of Legos over the past few years. It is an expensive, yet fun hobby. This is, by far, the best Lego I have ever purchased. The instructions were clear and it was enjoyable to put together. The final result is incredible and it remains on display in my home.

I've wanted this set since the day I heard it even exists, and I was very surprised when I saw just how big it was. My friend Toby loves LEGOS to the point he's a human LEGO encyclopedia and he helped me build this astounding 21-bag set (the NES itself went from bag 1 up to bag 7 or 8 and the TV set went from either 8 or nine throughout the rest of the set). Every element of the process had some element of fun and it took us a full day (we went to sleep at 2:00 and woke up only a few hours later at 7:00-8:00) to complete it. The entire process was worth it and even if it was a little tedious at times and it took a long time to build it, it was worth it in the end. This set makes you build EVERY element, from the NES cartridge to the tiles of the moving screen (with a unique Mario Bros piece) and the process is mostly easy. However, if you love cranking things like this because they are so satisfying, you need to crank the side of the TV slowly like a jack-in-the-box otherwise something will happen that'll damage the set. Otherwise, this was a great set and worth every bit of the $270 this massive set is priced at. This LEGO set is an authentic treasure that captures an 80's-2000's vibe better than Stranger Things to the point you're happily drowning in nostalgic satisfaction, from the soft pushing sound and slight click when you slide the cartridge into the NES and push on it inside downward to the loud clicking sound when you turn the TV knob on the right side, evoking a real TV set from the 80's. The instructions explain every piece of both parts of this set were built by LEGO engineers who read the actual blueprints to get the accuracy and I don't doubt any bit of it at all. This is a set you're going to love whether you're a nostalgic 80's fanatic or a die-hard Super Mario fan and just want a LEGO NES replica. Either way, I HIGHLY recommend it for anyone interested. You will NOT be disappointed whatsoever. Best LEGO set I've seen and owned.

This is 100% worth the money. Definitely nostalgic. Purchased for my millennial bf and he has never loved a gift more. All of the pieces are functional and super cool!

This kit came with extra pieces which was a lifesaver for me. It took a few days to complete, and I made one mistake halfway through, but the clear instructions helped me fix it quickly. Just be sure to read carefully and double-check placements to avoid any errors. Highly recommend this kit!

Very fun to put together set. Both the NES and TV are very fun to play with and have moving parts. Great decorative piece that can be interacted with.

This set is amazing! I love that the screen actually scrolls and Mario jumps!

I was hesitant due to a few reviews that stated they were missing pieces or the box was very damaged. But this product was perfect! All pieces came with some to spare. I realize it’s not the case for everyone but I’m so glad I got this. Took a few days and one mistake halfway through the NES made me have to go back and fix it by just starting over (read carefully the instructions and double check placements!).Lots of fun and a cool piece to display! Worth the price.

I bought this as a gift for my husband but could be a great gift for kids. The color and detail is exactly what you see in the photo. It did take a few days to assemble considering it’s a Lego set.
