A dog used our original remote as a toy one afternoon. Thereby eating some of the buttons, and leaving teeth marks all over the plastic. I am ashamed to say we then lived with the old fashion "remote" by getting anybody walking by, one of the kids, or actually getting up (GASP!! How uncivilized! Lol!) to change the channels, or adjust the volume. ** Anywho as far as the remote goes - it is exactly like the remote that came with the TV, & works very well on our TV. ** Not so much on our LG DVD player. Of course we have no qualms with that. **When you consider that we didn't have to program this remote like universal remotes it also means we will never have to re-program the remote either since there is no coding for it to forget. **We purchased for less than $8, so it was a really good price for a no hassle remote, & a no hassle purchase! **It's pretty much a no brainer that should the dog decide to "play" with this remote too (we're raising a houseful of boy's who do not of course always put everything up!) we will be back to buy another! We DO recommend this original replacement Philips remote. **P.s. Does not come with the 2 AAA batteries needed. Hope this review was helpful!
