Updated Review
I have an 80 lb lab and a 15 week old German Shepard. Training collars worked well on our lab while training him as a puppy. We utilize the beep and vibration setting, reserving the shock for situations that threaten the dog's life (like running toward the road!). None the less, This is the second set of pet trainer remotes I have gotten from this particular brand. The first set we received, which was a cheaper version, and the remote stopped working after 2 weeks of light use. I was able to return it without a problem for a refund. I searched amazon for another set, this one had strong reviews so I assumed it did not have the same defective problem. We received the collars and remote and they worked beautifully. I loved the ease of having one remote for two collars, not having to manually turn the collars on and off (I have forgotten to turn them off in the past and had a dead battery when I needed them), and they were rechargeable, saving a ton of money on battery replacement on the more expensive collars. That all said, 33 days after using them, the remote completely stopped working. This is 3 days after the 30 day return window. Thankfully Amazon still took the return back as I do a lot of shopping on amazon, but it is very disappointing. As soon as they redesign their poor remote design that is apparently easily breakable, this will be a five star review. However, without dropping the remote at all and just regular use to have a remote fail after such a short period of time makes the whole thing useless. Please fix your remotes, use better quality parts, I would be more than willing to pay the extra money for a product that is reliable and dependable.UPDATE on 03/15/2016Company was responsive to my review and immediately followed up with me. Company has taken all feedback from consumers to improve their product. Called company in response to my review and they offered to send me an updated version of the collars. I am still awaiting collars and I will update if I have any issues with them. If this stays 5 stars than that means the collars are working beautifully. Hope this review was helpful. To summarize, I had issues with the transmitter, not collars. The collars work wonderfully. I will update when the new ones come in and I have used them for at least 30-60 days. I changed to five stars because there is a 1 yr warranty on product, company was courteous and speedy in response to my displeasure, and company offered to send me an updated version without cost to me.

Bang for the buck, works fairly well
I purchased the double set because it was only a few dollars more, but has two collars. I will have one backup in case the first stops working.NOTE: The stated range is waaaay out to lunch on this. I get less than 100 yards regardless of the environment. The beeper is loud, controls are easy to use.Unfortunately I had to use the shock feature a couple of times out of desperation. This is not a toy! It had an immediate impact on my dog's behavior. I have not had to use it since, luckily. The vibrate feature seems to work almost as good.BONUS: The unit stays charged for a couple of days. The remote can last for a week or more.EDIT: After 8 months of use, one of the collar units stopped working and would not power on. I called the manufacturer and they immediately sent me out a replacement which arrived in a couple of days. Great customer service. I still recommend this product, but be aware that if you are using it over ranges beyond 100 yards you will be disappointed..

simple honest review
I have only used the collar a couple of times but so far so good. The receivers paired to the transmitter no problem. To go from one receiver to the other is a quick button press. DO NOT GET HUNG UP ON THE "GREEN LIGHT" the instructions tell you to look for. I think that's from a previous model. mine only had red lights but everything worked fine. Directions are simple and straight forward. Do as they say and you will have no issues. The vibrate function is great. Nice and strong and really gets my dogs attention. Works wonderfully for correction. The shock function goes from Level 1-100 and let me tell you based on my 65 pound Pitbulls reaction level 2 is plenty. Be careful with small dogs and definitely start at level one. My dog is a bit of a whimp so he may just not need much stimulation but honestly I don't see how anyone would ever get near level 100 unless there is not much increase from level to level. Use of the device is pretty simple and straightforward just takes a little acclimating to the button locations. I can not speak to the range of the device as I don't allow my dog to wander too far from me. It says 300 yards, which in my opinion is plenty, and I have no reason to believe that's wrong. One negative is the placement of the charge port and reset button. When you have the collar assembled and ready to place on your dog the port and button are covered by the collar so you have to remove the collar from the receiver to charge the receiver or reset it. A better design would have been to put the port on an area that its still exposed even when the collar is put together. My only other negative would be the fact there is only one charging cable so you can only charge one receiver or the transmitter at any one time. A second cable or perhaps making the port a micro usb which are readily available would be an awesome addition. Overall you cannot beat this device as far as value. It does what it says it will do and functions as it should. I really could not be happier with my purchase. Don't worry about the rattling noise you hear in the receivers, that is for the motion sensor and is supposed to be there. Recommend this for sure if what you are looking for is a simple collar for correction/training
