how does this compare to schwepps ginger beer

This Bundaberg Ginger beer tastes less sweet than Schweppes and the it is not as carbonated as Schweppes. It tastes similar to Q or fever tree brands. It is not hot or pepper like Jamaican style ginger beers. It is made with real cane sugar, not high fructose corn syrup. It is also brewed with yeast, the old fashioned way. I like this style of Ginger Beer. I also like the Jamaican ginger beers. Both offer a different flavor experience.

Do you use real sugar?

As of 5/1/22 the ingredients are listed on the product page. This contains both cane sugar and sucralose.

It doesn't contain any barley, wheat, or hops products so it is gluten free.

Why is this so expensive? i can get a 12 pack of 12.7 oz bottles at costco for $12.00

Because they can get what the market will pay. It's incredibly overpriced although quite good. Shipping is already included in Prime membership so you're paying $28 for Mini cans. I wouldn't do it again.
