Recently had total knee replacement. I needed wide legs pants gor h th wrapt. The pants have been ideal for my therapy sessions.

These are soft and wash well. Always nice to have pickets too. However I got a large and it fits like a medium.

I like these better than I thought I would. I am not a fan of thick elastic at the top but these are very comfortable. You can sleep in them

So, I've been going crazy trying to find lightweight, flattering & comfy "almost" shorts with little success when I found these. What I *really * want is something that just touches the top of my knee & hangs loosely but not wide like a Bermuda short, but apparently that doesn't exist. 😑 Enter these. My biggest concerns with ordering these was how light the fabric is, & size, since clearly the answers to those questions are all over the place. Lol. So my experience with them is as follows- in turns of size, I am 5'5" & a half (& shrinking...) and waffle between 193 on a good day & 198 when too many snacks enter the equation, and my usual size for bottoms, XL, are perfect. They hit around an inch or so under my knee, BUT as previous reviews have mentioned they are NOT nice & narrow as pictured, or they would have been 5 stars. Why they show them differently than they actually are baffles me & quite honestly really irritates me, but since they are the closest I've been able to find to the holy grail ones I'm looking for and pretty dang comfortable, I'm keeping them. As far as the fabric goes, to me they feel like a slightly heavier legging, but were not too thick for wearing in the NJ 85° heat, which is exactly what I bought them for. I did roll them up a bit & my kids said that I looked dorky but its just around the house so its better than usual... lol. But I definitely could wear them for a coffee or grocery run without looking dumpy, so aside from my annoyance about the wide legs (not quite a "bell bottom" but bordering on it) I'm pretty happy with them. I haven't worn them enough to comment on durability or how they hold up in the wash yet but they seem well made enough that I don't anticipate any problems there (knock wood!) All in all, the search for the ultimate old(er) person not quite shorts continues, (sigh) but for what they are, I'm pretty content with these, & hope my size details help someone else trying to figure that out! 😊
