Not the same battery as what came with drill
I love the drill itself. Powerful and long lasting battery. I bought this to have a backup but everyone should be aware, this is not the same battery that came with the drill. What came with the drill, came with a charging cable that plugs directly into the battery pack. This battery pack does not have that plug in to charge capability. You will be required to make an additional purchase of a charging station in order to charge it. For that I have to return it since a charging station costs as much as the battery pack and if I can get the same battery that came with the drill, I won't need to spend another $20 on a charging station. In my photo, the one on the right with the direct charging port is what came with the drill. But since I love the original battery, I'm giving this a 5 star review since I'm sure this is great as well.

Not a general-purpose replacement for 12V Li-ion battery.
I bought this battery to replace one on a cordless drill, not the WorkPro brand tool. They do NOT say it's compatible with tools other than their brand, and apparently these batteries are all designed to be not interchangeable. But, it looked similar, and I was able to make it fit the drill and work OK. However, the charger won't work with the new battery, and WorkPro doesn't sell the chargers alone. Only as part of a tool package. That is, I'd have to buy their cordless drill to get the charger. And of course it's obsolete, like the tool I already have - the industry has moved to 20V (& higher). I have a general-purpose charger that seems to work, with a little jury-rigging. Not sure if it will shorten battery life or not - time will tell.I think the battery is fine for a WorkPro tool, but don't get it for another brand as it may LOOK similar, but probably won't be a direct replacement.I've never had a cordless tool that lasted more than 5 years. Batteries run down, can't get replacements, gears break, bearings wear out, switches go bad. My current cordless is the best I've had, but now down to one (obsolete) battery that I'm not sure I can charge reliably with my jury-rig.I have a 1/4" electric drill and a belt sander from the 1950's, still working fine. Yes, you have to run an extension cord, but they never run out of charge and run faster than the cordless. And are generally lighter in the hand.
