Excellent product, well made and a quality item. Extremely easy to turn on and off, 2 LED lights indicate it’s working, Green always on when not detecting power, and turns Red when it does. Then device also makes a sound when detecting, however easy to silent this feature. Flash light can be turned on when the unit is off or on. Please note, although some people say it can be used on 12v car batteries, this is not true. This will only detect 12v AC, not 12v DC. I bought this to replace two older units, as these did not indicate if on, or more importantly when their batteries were flat. Lucky to be alive to review this fantastic SAFE tester. Also bought a case to keep it in.

This is the second Klein Voltage Tester I’ve owned. The first one, an earlier version, was ruined when I left the batteries in it and they corroded. You have to carefully read the instructions and practice with it at the two voltage ranges until you feel comfortable with it and are sure of yourself. It is accurate and works very well. And don’t forget to take the batteries out if you’re not going to use it for awhile.

I like the Klein Tools NCVT3P more than my Fluke model I’ve used for years. I mean, Fluke is the top dog. But I prefer this Klein because it has two sensitivity settings and a flashlight. The flashlight is not gonna do much but illuminate your small work area using this device. But the dual sensitivity modes are nice! In red mode, you have to pretty much touch a unit or wire carrying power. In blue mode this unit goes super sensitive and starts alarming you already inches from the electrical pathway or source. In blue, you can touch a metal bedroom tabletop style light pretty much anywhere and you’ll get a signal alarm. In red, you need to actually touch the electrical wire carrying current.So I’m loving the two sensitivity modes on this. The quality, well, it’s typical plastic. Design is nice. Takes two AAA Batteries. I do find the end cap has to be seated rather tightly for it to work. A bit concerned about that. Shouldn’t need a hard tightening. But I’m not rough on my tools so I’ll just look at this as an assurance it gets greater moisture and dust repellant of a housing.Recommended.

Ease of use:Klien electrical tester is super easy to use. Two buttons, with one of those buttons being a flash light. Cycles between high and low voltage easily. Would definitely recommend getting if looking for a high quality product at a reasonable price.

Love this tush saver! Goes with as a first check before I go to work in a box (DIYer). Only issue has been this break that seems to be from the battery pushing (see photo). Not styrene somodel glue only lasted a year or so. I’m using epoxy this time. That alright, I bought another. Some have complained the light isn’t bright enough. It’s just use it to look in the box not guide me home from a hike!

I liked it so much, that when I lost it, I purchased another one. Compact and simple to use. One-handed operation, no electrical contact necessary, just put tip near or on individual conductors to sense live voltage.In the state I live in, electrical boxes can contain more than one circuit, this device will alert you to the fact that you still have power present even though you turned off the breaker.
