I have used devices similar to this before, but this device exceeded all my expectations. Everything about this is great, but the exceptional feature is that I fully charged this then had it continually active for 9 days, 5 hours and 17 minutes. That is over 221 hours. The only thing that I would even be able to give a negative check about is that there is no wind filter and wind noise is present, but so what, the device is not a podcast recorder. The audio is clear and picks up much more than I thought it would. Overall, I am thinking about buying one to sit on the shelf for whenever this one finally dies, but given it's quality, that will probably be a long way off. Thinking about what I just wrote, I am going to get another because when this does die, it will certainly not be available to buy anymore.

After a year of use I have to buy a new one as it stops recording. I already replaced 2 of them.

The first thing that I noticed is it's better built than I thought it would be. Yes it's a plastic case but it seems to be holding up well considering that I have already dropped it twice from about 5 feet and it's still working. I love the fact that it records continuously for several days before you need to recharge it again. It's pretty simple to use and if you're like me over 40 you might need to put your specks on the first time or two. I would highly recommend it to people who need to record anything or everything for days at a time.. simply PERFECT for me!

I had this for a while now, I didn’t use it until later, it I tried all the cables, I connected it to 3 computers and 2 laptop, and have used like 40 USB cables, it doesn’t show any files when I connect, this is really bad, I regret not using it sooner or else I would have returned it a long time ago, now I have to pay triple the price to get the data removed from there

Original Review date is May 9, 2021When I initially tested it, the recording sounded like something that was recorded in a tunnel WITH a tunnel effect turned on. HORRIBLE.I forgot that i had set it to record when it hears something so it captured my phone conversation with my brother who was on speaker phone. That was pretty clear. I was actually impressed. The conversation was a foot or less away.It also captured my son and wife - talking about what they got for my birthday (not really) - she was talking about school things. She was 4 feet away in the open kitchen and he was at the table about 2 feet away. She turned the water faucet on at the sink and that made the quality sound not so good. After the water was turned off, it didn't seem that great either but not horrible.I took it outside to get nature sounds cause there are birds everywhere now. I put it on top of the mailbox, which for some reason had kite string pulled to a bar that is in the back about 4 inches higher than the front of the mailbox. It seemed to keep it snuggly in place. The magnet did not work on the material. I was flying my drone around my area and a large crow flew down and grabbed the device which got snagged on the string causing the bird to flip over which caused me to almost pee my pants. That poor bird didn't know up from down at that point and turned around and flew into the mailbox, madly squeaked and flew away. Have you ever seen those videos of guys stealing bikes that have a rope tied to kit that they don't see and when it reaches the end, the bike suddenly stops and the person flies over the handlebars? that's what this reminded me of. I thought he got the device as it was no longer in its place but soon noticed it was in the grass. It's amazing the crow had seen it as it was on a black mailbox. Why it wanted it, I have no idea, but i'm lucky it didn't succeed. Oh, the sound... LoL. The environment sounded great. All the birds, the vehicles driving by, the airplane and my drone when it occasionally flew by were very clear.I have a very mixed feeling about this device. I haven't tested it in a room full of people yet but my wife and son's conversations in the kitchen/breakfast area doesn't sound so good but I'm wondering if its because she is always doing things while talking to him and always making noise. I will continue to use it and will come back at some point to see if I can get a better feeling on this device and give a more determined update.

Item has a great sound, very compact and long battery life. However with the voice activated option in use the recording is very choppy. It records while hearing sound but will fade in and out as it records. I would think that this could be corrected via a software update. It should record when it hears sound then, add 2-3 seconds of continuous recording after the last sound that it hears and then begin recording again as it hears additional sound. This way, the recording is seamless as the speaker pauses, turns a page, etc. before halting the recording. I tried it out by reading a page out of a book and just by the slightest pause of catching my breath, it would stop recording and miss the next few seconds of my speaking again.Ended up returning as I found this unacceptable for its intended purpose.

Excellent value for a quality device

Tiny with a strong magnet. Works well when in a clear line of recording. Otherwise its muffled and the sensor doesn't activate
