We bought the Mega Cyborg Hand for our 7 year old, and it has been such a fun and engaging project for our whole family. Building it together has been a great experience, though I would say a 7 year old definitely needs adult help and guidance for some of the steps. There are certain parts where an adult is required, but that actually made it a really enjoyable hands-on project to work on together. Our 10 year old also loves fiddling with it, which shows how well it spans multiple age ranges. The instructions are very clear and thoughtfully laid out, making the build feel much less intimidating. I especially loved that some pages in the manual include fun comic style stories and interesting facts about the physics behind how the mechanics work, it’s a great educational touch! We have absolutely loved this purchase for the value and are excited to finish building it and start using the hand. Highly recommend for families looking for a meaningful STEM project to do together. Age range: 7+

My grandson who is 8 loved this for Christmas. He was so excited when he opened it up. Highly recommended. Looks like a fun time for him. It’s kinda technical so my son would have to help him with it. Expensive but it seems high quality.

This was MUCH more involved than I had thought. Although we are not done putting it together, it is a fun project and totally worth the money if you have the time and patience to work on this. Kid is a little too young to get the full learning experience but I hope he is picking up some good info along the way!

This is a great toy for a kid who likes to build things. Not only will they build, but they can also make use of it and see how the structure correlates with the function. Of course, it has sparked requests for more toys like this but that is a great thing. It is nice if you want to keep your child stimulated without being in front of a screen all of the time. The instructions are straight forward. My only gripe is how the pieces have to be popped out and it does result in some sharp edges that need to be shaved down so the parts can fit. For this reason, I give this toy 4 stars instead of 5. I would recommend that the parts come separated already into separate bags. Otherwise, it is a great value for the money.

I knew I'd be doing most of the work when I bought this for my 5 year old son but he really enjoyed being a part of the process. It took us 2 or 3 hours. It is very high quality and comes with a great instruction guide, including a hydraulic turotorail and comic book. He was excited every step of the way from seeing it for the first time to getting it built and playing with it. I enjoyed the quality time with him!

Cool gift for my grandson. There are alot of pieces but really cool

This thing is really cool. A little big for a 10 year oldest hand but it didn't stop my son one bit. He was able to put it together by himself with maybe a suggestion or 2 from a parent but the actual work was all him. It functions as its supposed to and even a year later, he still loves playing with this thing.

It was pretty intense assembling this hand. Some of the crucial parts slip out of their attachment points making it tough to operate. Plan to spend the better part of the day building it (tool us 4 hours) and requires some help from adults. A part did break on one of the fingers. Wish the had a few extra parts. Otherwise, it’s a cool hand. Maybe build but not use to often.

dont trust the seller

While the parts in the box is all complete, the box is dented and the seal is broken. Meant to be a gift for a little boy. Lesson learnt to buy toys from physical stores in the future

The product looks amazing with very very detailed instruction inside. However, the box was delivered without wrapping, no Amazon bag, no Amazon box. The box is damaged and does not look like a new one. The shipment sticker was put directly on the box with the product. This is a gift and it took me a while to remove the sticker. Consider another seller of this product.
