How is this thing so cheap!?
This ratchet is F’n nice! I have a drawer full of “truck brand” and other high quality ratchets that I paid literally 10x as much for. This little thing is every bit as nice and every bit as useful. The gear set is super smooth, the head is TINY and the chrome is like jewelry. Outstanding value for a very unique design that fits in a lot of places.Be realistic about what you use it for though, this isn’t a breaker bar, it has a very unique design for unique tasks.

Nice overall
The 72 tooth ratchet action is positive. The handle is very nice. I get the benefit of the leverage of a 290mm long handle, with the small arc of 72 teeth (5 degrees). My vintage Craftsman 43784 has a 160mm long handle and 36 teeth (10 degree arc). If the space is tight down low where the Craftsman handle is, then the Craftsman needs 14mm of space at the end of the handle to move one click while the Astro needs only half that (7mm).

Astro 1/2” drive head on a 3/8” ratchet handle
Good product! I have no complaints about this wrench. I just used this on a brake job and it does very well. Let’s see how long it will last.

Watch out - the ratchet head is pretty large
These 3/8" anvil in a 1/4" ratchet body is starting to catch on.What puzzles me is that Astro made the ratchet head especially thick - you would think that tools like this would be used in tight spaces, so you would want them as low profile as possible? The price is great though!I do own a Tone (Japan) branded ratchet, and this has a pretty small profile. The Astro unit has a longer handle, so it's more comfortable to crank on it, if you need more torque. The Tone ratchet will fit in tighter spaces, but it does cost a lot more.

Great rachet
Sometimes you need that extra little leverage even on 3/8ths drive and this works great.

Good to have when you need it
This isn’t something you’ll use all the time, but it’s nice to have when you need it. Fairly priced from a quality brand.

Small enough head to fit in tight spaces
Perfect for tight spaces especially in my Subaru Outback for changing spark plugs

Nicely made good value quality ratchet.
After reading many positive Astro tool reviews from North American user’s it was time to purchase and see how Nano ratchets stack up.I do agree with the majority of positive reviews, well finished and the 72 tooth count with relatively low back drag and smooth operation. Minimal movement in the drive assembly in fact better tolerances than some more expensive brands. The NANO name is slightly misleading as the head size is not in the same league as Nepros, Tone, Vessel, Koken or Snap On compact 1/4 bodied ratchets with 3/8th drive internals. That being said it’s a small trade off for the substantially lower price difference and the lifetime warranty offered by Astro. In summary for the price a good tool and a useful addition for tech’s who don’t want to break the bank going for a new occasional use compact head design.

Truly a small headed ratchet!
Impressed with the size of it. Almost don't believe it's a 3/8 drive!
