Awesome concept, v1.0 execution
Alright, I promised I would come back and update this review and so here I am.I will note that some injuries have prevented me from using the doubleflex as much as I would like. Note that these are not the fault of the doubleflex! I have been working to increase my activity in other ways as well and moved a little too quick I think. Anyway -- enough about me, what do I think now a month in?Let's start by revisiting my original notes:Company:I originally posted this review in April of 2016 because there were no other "verified buyer" type reviews of the product...and the product seemed brand new to the market (based on what I was finding at other websites, etc) and there was just scant info on it. I think this put me in a skeptical frame of mind to begin with -- and then the doubleflex in a few ways didn't meet my initial expectations. I can say now that the company is real. I have been personally contacted by Paul Francis. He commented on this review and also reached out to me personally to see if there was anything they could do to improve my experience. These guys are not fly-by-night scammers. They have a product they believe in and a company they're trying to launch. 5 stars.Concept:The concept is solid. There's some room for improvement on the execution, but it is their first product. The "star" of this product -- the spiraflex technology -- works as promised. Smooth linear resistance in a compact form. 5 stars.Packaging:I complained about it below. Just know this isn't "frustration free" packaging. When he reached out to me, Paul said they may look at that again in the future. In the long run it doesn't really matter because you only deal with the packaging once...but have your wire / zip tie clippers on standby for when you receive this thing! 3 stars.Nutrition Plan:I mentioned in my original review I probably wouldn't be following their nutrition plan. That was not meant as a slight against it -- I am just currently working with a health coach to make gradual, sustainable changes to my diet. I did look at the OYO plan and it looks like a good, simple plan that covers the "basics" of eating whole, nutritious foods. Nothing earth shattering, but they're not pushing their own OYO supplements or anything either. 4 stars. And adding some more notes:Customer Service:Paul Francis contacted me and got me a replacement flex-pack and noted they were adjusting their manufacturing to prevent that problem from reoccurring. It was easy and pain free. Manufacturing defects happen...so let's give them the benefit of doubt here and see if these issues continue or are cleared up. 4 star.Product in use:I mentioned in my original review the silver plastic of the body of the doubleflex. This keeps the weight down. I personally think they should have done the body of it in a textured plastic (More like a power tool). That said...the ball-shaped ends that you actually touch when you're using the product has a nice feel to them, and the device has held up just fine during my month of use. 4 star.ONE THING I NOTICED IN USE!!! Is that it can be tough to "pull" the balls out of their sockets. I went back and re-watched the "introduction" video and they mention in that video to pivot the ends "down" just slightly. This helps a lot and should be screen-printed onto the device or on a sticker or something. Very important tip that will make the product a lot easier to use. Conclusion:The doubleflex seems to live up to its claims of providing a mild resistance workout (Up to 15 lbs) in a very compact, quiet, and easy-to-use package. OYO has returned a solid, if not perfect, "first product" that could make a good addition to other at-home workout equipment.I'm bumping my ranking up to 4 stars.Original Review: Probably overpriced, results unknown.I'm not usually one to write reviews -- especially not on the latest "As seen on TV" fitness fad gadget that I'm not even completely proud to admit that I purchased -- but at this time there are only 8 other reviews and they all look suspicious, so let's call this my contribution back to the community.I am an apartment dweller and am always on the lookout for fitness products that are quiet, portable, and don't require permanent and potentially damaging attachments to my rented dwelling. The doubleflex seemed to tick all these boxes so I decided to give it a shot.I only received it today (I'll update this review later!) so it's early to know how it works, etc. First impressions are not great.Let's go ahead and start with the good:-Compact and light weight-Operation is smooth and the level of effort required is indeed predictable and constant -- not "progressive" like elastic bands.-If/when something breaks, I think it's unlikely to take your eye out (Like...elastic bands)Now the bad:-The product is silver and for some reason I was expecting it to be metal. It is all plastic. Nothing wrong with plastic, but it doesn't feel substantial or expensive. It feels the "cost of goods" was far less than the retail price, and it is destined to see some price cuts in the future.-The packaging is weird. It's a cardboard tray that slides out of a cardboard box...and then it's zip-tied to the box like a child's toy. I'm guessing for retail it's going to be in a clear sleeve instead of a cardboard box.-One of the "resistance discs" is already broken for mine, and seems to have been assembled defectively. I'll try the product out anyway and if I like it I'll report back on how easy it is or isn't to get the disc replaced. (Removed picture of broken flex pack because OYO replaced it free-of-charge with no hassle). So there we are. I probably won't be following their nutrition plan. I'll give the exercises an earnest shot and report back.I'm hoping in the end the results end up actually being decent...but I dislike cheaply made stuff and wish this felt more like the premium price they are asking for it right now.

Great substitute if you can't get to the gym
It is a great substitute for going to the gym. I just can't find the time to suit up and go to the gym. But with the OYO I can do daily workouts while watching TV. It is certainly not as complete a workout you get going to a gym, but if you can't seem to get the time to go, this is a great substitute and it really does build you arms, shoulders and back muscles.

Cheap Plastic, Rickety and Not Enough Resistance
These are not nearly as nice as they look in photos. The plastic is pretty cheap, its rickety to use, and even on the highest setting, it doesn't provide enough resistance. Might be a decent workout on the arms, but I wouldn't recommend these.

Exercise Everywhere.
I love it, I can workout anywhere with the double flex. I actually seeing biceps muscles showing through and my fat in my arms slowly buy surely disappearing. i do look forward to adding more weight to it with the new flex coming out.

A Beast.
They make it looks easy but this damned thing really works you out. One drawback is you have to do a lot of reps but hey that's what I bought it for.

This is a very cool device and I really enjoy using it
This is a very cool device and I really enjoy using it. I hope they will eventually make a "titanium" version or something that feels a little sturdier than plastic, but all in all this is impressive and gives even a grown man a solid workout packed in a tiny portable device

Good light work out.
Not a big work out but very good to get your muscles going and keeping in tone.

I am a Health Coach and I like this machine a lot and use it at the end of my workouts as it works out some of the other muscles and makes it a more rounded approach. I would like it better if it was made out of metal instead of plastic and it should be a little larger but over all I think it's a great product and fun.
