I was so excited about this little tool from sram, but it's broken on arrival. I used it anyways, tool is simple to use, does the job well, however, this is made with very cheap plastic. Why not use polycarbonate for water bottles? That would have been a good and inexpensive choice considering how many water bottles being thrown away every day. Very disappointed. Need a refund. Update: I felt bad leaving a bad review and thought I should give an update. Contacted seller, they are very professional! One of the nicest response I have gotten from a 3rd party seller. Received a brand new one within days. This tool might not be of best quality, but it is usable even if its broken, and it's a must have tool. This tool works exactly as intended. It makes setting the correct B-gap on a SRAM Eagle drivetrain much easier and more accurate than trying to eyeball it. The plastic feels sturdy enough for the job, and the fit on the cassette is good. If you’re installing or tuning a SRAM Eagle derailleur, this tool saves time and helps you get the adjustment right the first time. For such a small and inexpensive tool, it’s definitely worth having in your bike toolbox. Good value and does the job perfectly.

This stupid "tool" is a must for sram RD proper setup but the build maiteral is a real joke as so many people have experienced. I've bought one in 2022 when building a SRAM RD bike and after a couple of uses, it's left in the drawer. A few months later when it's being used again, the plastic fin first broke; then what's left got disintegerarted after still being used with struggle for a few mins. Now here in Aug 2024, I bought another one and it was already in several broken pieces inside the package upon arrival, may be due to the summer heat or being crushed en route Shame on Sram for making such a crappy item with inferior material. With so many complaints over the years, it didn't get any improvement. It's as fragile as patato chips and 100% will become even more brittle over time. If you have to buy this, please coat it with some epoxy glue which will help to hold it together better.

Super easy to use when tuning your SRAM Eagle derailleur

Helped me to accurately adjust the derailleur. Without it, I just couldn’t set correctly. First ride after using the tool, I had super smooth shifting. It’s made of plastic and a little fragile.

The design of this new white plastic tool is much easier to use to measure the chain gap than the previous red plastic tool. (These tools are to be used at the sag position, so you either have to ask a similar-weight friend to hop on the bike, or use a plastic shock-replacement mounting gizmo with different positions like at sag length for adjusting chain gap and at bottom-out length for measuring chain length.) After correctly adjusting the B-tension with this tool, the shifting is so awesome! However, the material of this tool is poor, and the "fin" breaks off easier than snapping kettle chips. With my first one, the fin arrived broken and snapped off at the very first use. When I got the second one, before using it, I reinforced the fin with some epoxy first (per someone else's idea from Internet).

If you understand what this is for and how to use it, this product is perfect out of the package. Cut it open and adjusted my derailed in a few minuets, keep if on the top of the tool box to prevent it from being cracked and should last me for the life of my bike or longer. Appreciate the availability!!!!

After two years of riding, shifting to higher gears on my 2022 Stumpjumper (SRAM X01 Eagle AXS) was becoming problematic (delayed, sometimes indefinitely). I was able to obtain smooth and reliable shifting in two steps. 1) Align the derailleur. I used a DAG-2.2. The hanger was indeed bent (it didn’t look bent). 2) Adjust the B-gap of the derailleur. I used the SRAM Rear Derailleur Chaingap Adjustment Guide, Eagle 50/52t. I was surprised at how far out of adjustment it was. The guide made it quick and easy to obtain the proper adjustment.

I bought this adjustment tool because I had a mountain bike with the SRAM SX Eagle drivetrain, it wasn't shifting very well even though I tuned the gears myself. Read online that the B-Screw on the derailleur needs to be set exact for the derailleur to shift well, I used this tool to get the screw set, tuned the gears back up and shifts nice and efficiently!
