Danner 02478 Pro1000 BioMatrix Pond Filter and Falls

I’ve always wanted a waterfall in my pond, this one is the perfect size and looks great! Easy to set up, make sure you use the clamps to prevent any dripping!

This spillway with biological balls to support healthy bacteria growth is perfect for a small pond. Those that complained about it leaking did not use a hose clamp to secure the hose from the pump to the spillway. I purchased a hose clamp at Lowe’s for a couple dollars. Our pond is small (125 gallons) so we are using a small 900 gallons per minute pump with this spillway. I have aquariums and am knowledgeable of how filtration works so I also decided to use an aquarium filter cartridge with carbon inside across the front of the box to help clarify the water. The water enters the bottom of the box, travels through the biological balls, then through the filter cartridge. I’m thrilled to have found this small spillway because others would have been far too big for my beginner pond. This one works great!

Wirh a good pump this difuses the water very well. Its a single piece body with a inlet. I placed liner under mine that runs into the pond. Doing it that way will minimize draining while pond is not attended

When the pellets get dirty, the bag swims up and water begin to spill on the side. I lost half of the pond of water like that. Maybe I’m doing something wrong correct me I just put heavy rock on the top to hold it in place
