YOu can get another slide with a micro rmr cut and sell the 43x mos for way more than the cost of the new slide that would look a lot cooler with windows ( Ighting cuts )

Q: Do you believe that Kimber R7 Mako eventually will make an optic plate for this red dot?

They make a RMRcc dovetail plate for the Kimber micro 9, so there should be an option for this model.

Q: Does it have an automatic brightness mode?

No it doesn’t, you are better off without one because a sensor does not react the way a human does. You could be in dark shadows and your red dot would dim down and yet your target could be in bright light and you would not be able to pick up the dot, especially if you are using a weapon light or flashlight.

Q: Does the lock feature stay locked after it is turned on and off?

No, it does not. You cannot turn the power off when the sight is locked. You must first unlock the sight then turn it off. When you turn it back on, you would then hold the + button for 3 seconds to lock. When you think about it, this makes sense, because the lockout feature is designed to disable the buttons, which includes powering it off with a button. Personally, I never turn mine off and would suggest the same to anyone else. It goes into sleep mode after 10 minutes of no motion, and comes on instantly as soon as it is moved. With 50,000 hour battery life, and the side battery door making it easy to change the battery.
