I used these to plug the drain pipes for my 3 bathroom sinks after removing the p-traps in anticipating the installation of new countertops and sinks. This kept any sewage gases from entering the house while I waited for the countertops and sinks. After they were installed, I installed new p-traps, popup drains, and faucets myself to save money. Anyway, these plugs worked great for my purpose. They are solidly made.
