Best book to read
The media could not be loaded. I'd recommend it to everyone. It's not just about division of two nations but a deep insight into politics of oligarchies and imperialists who control the destiny of around billions of people. It's for everyone to read. People in India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh must read it.

Historical facts, refreshingly not white washed.
Most of the available literature on this controversial man is of extreme nature, either it's glowing hagiographical or acerbic critique reflecting more the writer's agenda with cherry picked material. This writer has provided actual speeches' text among a tonne of other contextual information for the reader to decide for himself what to make of this man's journey from a nationalist to hardline communalist and all that passed in-between in a chronological manner. Provided many new perspectives to my understanding of the circumstances & parties of partition. The book's size is a bit oddly disproportionate though, more thicker than it's breadth/length. And the color green would've been more apt rather than red, both for the communal ideology he proffered and the visceral jealousy he harbored for... read the book!

Detailed and objective
Very deep analysis of historical facts. Objective in his views about leaders of that time. Throws light on nuances of personality, society and world politics that led to the creation of Pakistan and it's basic structure on which it is supposed to operate

Exceptional
I am an admirer of this writer. As usual, He has conducted extensive research and concentrated on facts before coming out with conclusions.Jinnah is an engima for many. A successful and well respected lawyer in bombay where there is no caste or creed, suddenly turning communal at a point of time and leaving his posh malabar hill residence to go away to a new country- is something that cannot be explained normally. The author forcefully argues that he wanted pakistan hook or crook at least closes this case.Today in India after 8 years of modi's rule, the biggest minority in the country will support what jinnah did! This is unfortunate and bodes ill for India's diversity and live and let live principle. All the more, this book is a must read for all indians and pakistanis alike to know the dangerous impact of religion based politics.
