Onyx Coffee Lab "Tropical Weather Blend" Medium Roasted Whole Bean Coffee - 10 Ounce Bag

Not sure if we got an off batch but the flavor profile was very strange. I'm a regular coffee drinker and something was just strange, was almost salty? I can see where the "sweet tea" flavor profile comes from but we didn't enjoy it. I was concerned something was off with the water but I tested two different water sources (at home and at work) with the same flavor/scent profile.

This is one of my favorite coffees from Onyx *after* playing out with how much how coarse and what method - French press/coffee machine/pourover. I like a bolder flavor so I landed on my coffee maker and used 1.1-1.2 ounces of beans for a half pot. Somehow wound up with a lot left so i put it in the fridge to try it cold the next day and it was really good. Yes, day old coffee was good. Can't wait to get more to work on some cold brew!

I ordered this one specifically from this seller because it was the coffee I wanted and it said it was freshly roasted to order, but was not actually roasted very recently. Coffee was roasted a month in advance. If it wouldn’t have said that, I would’ve bought directly from coffee roaster themselves. It’ll be good, but if you want it fresh, don’t buy from them.
