Stable Voltage with Current
OK, as with all buck converters of any kind, they have to be used correctly. I am reducing voltage output from 16.8 volts lithium battery pack to 13.8 volts output to power a radio transmitter. The current draw varies during transmission of morse code with a maximum of 11.8 amps. This unit handles this situation very well with only a slight reduction of 0.5 volts at the output. If you want a constant current with this unit, connect the input negative to the output negative terminal and the current is very easily adjusted so, it is possible to use this as a battery charger control module. All in all, for the price 5 stars.

Cool as ice
The media could not be loaded. I'm not using this to anywhere even close to it's rated capacity, but I am using it to convert an 18V battery voltage to 12V to power a motor. The unit looks well made, the diagram on the page is wrong with regards to the voltage and current trim pots, they're the other way around, voltage is set on the outermost pot.I am only consuming 6W, so its hardly surprising that this stays cool. There are cheaper ones around, and I read the reviews and deviced to go for this one which seemed to be higher quality than some of the others I found. The video shows the buck convered connected to the 18V battery which is ultimately powered a 12V motor.I'd definitely buy and use these again.

Worked o.k. With a lot of adjustment on control pots
Worked with no problems to reduce battery 12v to 9v

Works well.
A very compact and powerful unit, charged a 12V lead acid battery from a 20V solar panel without getting hot, admittedly that's nowhere near its maximum power.

Not a up only a. 7 down but. Good low reg kit
The media could not be loaded.

Works well in my application as a battery charger charger
Trouble is , when charging my caravan battery ...and the power is switched off ,the battery reverse feeds it and the LED lights up ..and takes about 45 ma from the battery...not sure if this would damage it long term? .so far iv had no success fitting a blocking diode

Great
Great device, used to reduce supply to a 12V cool box from ~4A to ~2A to preserve battery. In this scenario ran only slightly warm where LM2596 based devices went into thermal limiting.

Incorrect labelling.
Great Item works well, adjusting pots labelled wrong way round.

R2D2 build
Seems to be perfect for my R2D2 electronics.

Great for using 20V tool batteries for 12V car accessories
Delivered quickly, assembly and solders are good.I use it with 20V batteries to power a 12V SUP pump. Works like a charm and doesn't heat up. It's an eco-friendly way at using the same batteries for different applications. The screw terminals are a bit too bulky for their anchor points so you must go gentle when unscrewing them. The PCB is not standard so you might need to 3d print your own box using available CADs on the web.

Great for the price, but be careful unscrewing the connectors
Others have mentioned the weak connectors. Hold them well with your hands/fingers and use as large and accurate of a screwdriver as you can. Mine didn't break, but they could. I did unexpectedly short 1 (I bought 2), but the fault could have been mine so I won't deduct a point for that. I ordered 2 more to replace the one that I fried. Configuration is easy enough but I'd go slowly on the adjustments and again use the best sized and most accurate screwdriver that you have for the adjustments.

18v to 14.2v
Dropped my drill bat from 18v nominal to a tolerable 14.2v for my 300w inverter. It's been running like a champ for several months now and is used everyday.

Maxxair RV fan fixed
The Maxxair ceiling fan in my RV is well known for beeping and stop working when the voltage gets over 13.8 volts. This happens every time the RV is plugged into shore power or Solar power. This voltage regulator has solved the problem and has left me and my wife very happy. One less thing to worry about. Thank you so much!
