I researched brands somewhat and choose one of this brand because if it's origin and brand status. I was unable to verify other markets based on the provided pictures. Packaging container is sturdy and strong. The product itself is thready and reddish in color. The odor was undescribable to me and my partner. At best I would say"funky." I haven't used it as yet. I specifically bought this to make my Mom a Saffron Loaf of bread. She's told me so many times how she would wait anxiously with her sister, (my Sunt. Now deceased☹️) by the oven for her grandmother, (my great grandmother) to take it out of the oven and smearing butter on a slice watching it melt as it came from the oven. So, I'm going to try and recreate that memory for her my Unfortunately it's going to have to wait a few more days because I was hospitalized shortly after receiving my product (Murphys Law..lol).

I tried this saffron in pasta and the result was delicious. It adds a delicate aroma and an appetizing golden color. The quality of the threads is noticeable from the moment you open the jar. Excellent product, authentic and well-priced.

I opened the container it came in. The aroma filled the room. All the Saffron buds were pure, deep red. They smelled amazing. I soaked some grounded Saffron in hot water. It resolved fast, indicating purity. This is the best Saffron I have ever had.
