This is the best and easiest to use Caulk Saver Cap that I've ever used! Doesn't just cover the end of the spout like other types of saver caps. but extends through the spout into the caulking tube body to prevent hardening of the caulk in the neck of the spout. Easy to insert and remove. The insert has a graduating size so it fits the spout no matter how much of the spout you have cut open. I've had opened tubes of caulk remain usable for over a year when using this Caulk Saver Cap.

Works as advertised, better than sticking a nail into the tube. Keeps the entire tube open and the product in the tube usable instead of drying out and wasting an expensive tube of caulking when you just need to use a small amount.

it still dosn't keep the alk from hardening but it does betterthan using a nail.

I have used these for years and needed replacements. The long tail keeps the nozzle open for dispensing even after a long time in storage. If saving a small amount you may need to trim off some of the tail. The tail is stiff enough that it may not coil up inside a mostly used tube.

For many years before this product even existed, I would wrap duct tape around used caulk or glue tubes and it would work for a little while before it was unusable. I bought this product the first time six months ago and used some glue, popped this in, and forgot about it until today when I had to use the glue again. I removed this stopper and the glue was still fresh as if I never opened it. So I went ahead and placed another order since this product works.

They do seal very well but if you have it in a small hole with alot of the top exposed They will snap off in the tube easily.

Saves you money in the short term. It preserves your compound to an extent but will clearly not be as good as an unopened tube.

Stop wasting caulk. Use these to cap off an open caulk tube. Just insert one of these when you are done caulking and it will keep the remainder of the tube from drying out. Pull it out when you resume using the tube. Reusable, wipe them off after each use. I recommend these.
