Powerful torque from a plastic/nylon geabox and tiny motor
This is let down a tiny amount by no instructions or information with it, but on the basis of those that buy this will know what they are doing, ive done the review on that basis only. Firstly the tyres are soft and have a basic tread. I found it griped well on carpet and ashfelt, poor to ok on soil/ neatly cut grass and sand. The wheels are each 65mm in diameter x 27mm and has the same shaft profile. For the cost these are well made and the gearing ratio is 1:120. They operate 3V to 6V and that can be variable power in (PWM) and typical no-load draw is 120mA to 150mA. The gearbox is plastic/nylon and is both smooth and realitively quiet. The output shaft is approx 8mm with a 1mm collar and is side mounted so you can put the motor and gearbox along not across the body. In profile it is 20mm x 22mm at its widest (gearbox excluding the 9mm shaft) and 64mm long. Speed no-load is @3V 127rpm to @6V 264rpm +/-10%. This has a high torque which impressed me and makes this suitable for robots and scale cars. Their isnt any instructions and you can find some details online whould you need them (model is DC00TT30954CW). Happy to recommend, Andrew
