Our daughter is exploring art at a rapid pace, each medium is being studied and left on the floor only to be picked up and studied some more as she voraciously gobbles up knowledge and first hand experience. No youtube video is safe, nor are her mother's cotton balls. This kit was the perfect beginning to our girl's exploration of theatrical and sfx makeup. She watched a program on tv with her grandmother and expressed an interest. Now she goes around the house with bloody gashes on her arm and fingers that sport an extra long tip. Her eyes look like Judy Garland's after a weekend at Tahoe. Buy it. It's great and the quantities are generous.

I was a little nervous about buying this make up kit especially with the mixed reviews. My daughter has recently become interested in playing around with special effects make up and she requested purchase this kit to help her explore her hobby. We are very happy. The kit is basic but has a lot of variety in products that will allow for a wide variety of looks. There are adhesives, make up, brushes, guide books and more. The quality certainly isn't professional grade but it also isn't cheap like the make up kits you find in retail stores around Halloween. I think this is a great kit for those interested in playing around with special effects make up that wish to have a variety of products but not wanting to pay professional grade prices. I am including some photos of the kit and some photos of make up my 14 year old did using the kit.

This product is so cool my daughter has been doing all kinds of looks with it. She's very into this kind of stuff and it looks so professional has liquid latex in the set I believe!

Exactly as described and is a very good starter kit. To address the reviews claiming the 3D gel arrived "all dried up" or "unusable because it's all solid," the 3D gel is at room temperature and is in a solid gel form. The instructions on the bottle clearly state to heat the bottle in hot water to liquefy the gel so you can use it. So, don't let that deter you from buying this product as it is supposed to be solid in the bottle. Good thing it stays solid at room and body temperature too or it would melt all over your face :-P

So my 8 year old daughter decided she wanted to change from being a little monster into a little monster creator, and so we chose this kit to do it and I could not be happier. It had everything she needed and plenty of it, and seeing her be so creative is awesome. I gave it to her on her birthday and at her party she turned the other girls into bloody zombies and car accident victims (other parents love us, ha ha) and now she is so excited for Halloween that I've been letting her practice on me all month. It makes a weird Dad proud! This was a great kit.

We are in no way professional make-up artists, but we chose to purchase this kit because of the good reviews and the overall contents. I am very happy with the quality of the products within. It served us well for Halloween, and I am certain that it will become useful next year as well. The tutorial contained within is not very comprehensive and that is the only thing that makes me not give this kit 5 stars. The kit has MANY different pieces, and I am sure the possibilities for SFx were endless, but being the amateurs we are, we were lost as to the purpose and different uses of most of the contents. (Thank goodness for Pinterest tutorials....) Nonetheless, it was fun to use and we received many compliments on our makeup which lasted the entire evening, and I feel that even after 4 full-face makeup jobs, we have a whole bunch left over to play with again next year.

I used it to paint a prosthetic face, but it comes with more than enough of everything to experiment with, and it's all way cheaper than buying even half of the things that come in the box. So worth it. Great for experts who just want to stock up, and beginners who just want to experiment. All levels of experience. Cons: Some bottles were open and dried out before I opened it, including the 3D gel which I was excited to try for the first time. Oh well, still worth the price regardless

Personally i think its a very good price for a begginer kit. This kit is awesome and really helpful. Order it here on amazon because it costs $125 w/Shipping and ITS OUT OF STOCK Anyway, so if youre looking for a really awesome kit and you have barely any expirence with special fx makeup and you are interested in starting either your own buisness or a really gory hobby, this is the kit for you.

Has a bit of everything you need. Definitely worth all the fun and experimenting when first starting out. My daughter is almost 11 and she’s got natural talent for makeup but we haven’t used a lot of what’s in there but I do know it’s wonderful quality products. Definitely a great base.

El kit viene muy completo si lo quieres para uso individual, es demasiado caro para lo que contiene pues son todas las versiones miniatura de los productos de mheron, y buscando en la página oficial en México noté que pude haberme gastado casi lo mismo con productos más grandes, así que no no vale la pena el gasto, mejor vayan directo a Mehron

Wenn man alles, was in diesem Starter Kit enthalten ist einzeln kaufen würde, würde man mindestens das doppelte bezahlen. Es sind sehr viele verschiedene Sachen enthalten. Vor allem die Farben sind super und halten sehr gut. Allerdings gebe ich nur 4 Sterne, da recht wenig von den verschiedenen Materielien enthalten ist. Es ist zwar von allem ein bisschen was dabei. Aber es sind eben sehr kleine Fläschchen. Sehr gut zum experimentieren und ausprobieren. Vor allem die verschiedenen Kunstblute finde ich super. Alle Materialien riechen ziemlich übel. Der Gestank verfliegt aber sobald es getrocknet ist. Vor allem von dem Liquid Latex werde ich mehr kaufen. Das Zeug ist definitiv das Beste und unverzichtbar für SFX Make-Up! Im großen und ganzen aber sehr empfehlenswert, wenn man mal alles ausprobieren möchte.

Bought for my 13 year old along with the practice head in an effort to stop her putting gory makeup all over herself! Fantastic starter set, easy to use and bought along side a couple of sfx books. Only fault was the 3d Gel which was dried up and we couldn't get it out if the bottle but a quick chat with Amazon and the price of a bottle was refunded in vouchers so that we could purchase separately- amazing customer service as usual!
