So easy to use! We love it.

Yellow (plastic) nob broke after my first use when adjusting the foot plate. Very cheap (nobs), another one is cracked and looks like it's about to break too. The safety hook scrapes the underlining frame; causing lots of friction and a loud scratching noise when in motion. Metal flakes everywhere.

I looked for a long time for something small enough to be in the home and also not cost a mint. This design is easier to get into position for and much more natural to use than say lying on your back pushing upwards. Most imporantly for me however, was finding the right machine which did not stress my back. This machine answered on all counts. My only complaint and why it gets only 3 stars is the way you're supposed to put on the wieghts. The machine has two posts on either side which is where the weights hang. Its designed for olympic weights. But as fat as olympic 45 lbs are you aren't going to get that many on here. If you use the collars that come with the machine you're going to max out at four 45's each side. Ditch the collars and you can get 5 each side. Maxing your poundage at 360-450. Most people who are going to devote this much space and money to a single leg ex are likely going to be or want the capacity to push more than that. Also, and this was a biggie, the posts are connected to the machine by 3 screws each,which did not mate well. There is a reinforcement rod which runs through it all. To start with some of the screws wouldn't go at all as there was weld slag in the grooves of the recieving screw threads on the mounting side while some despite care went in cross threaded. I got around both these issues by leaving the posts off. It had been designed to recieve a bar through side to side to support the weights, there were holes on both sides where the posts would have mounted. I had a bar of cold rolled steel (because it was the diameter of a standard bar) which just by the grace of God fit perfectly through the entire machine at the point where the posts should have mounted and did not interfere with the working of the carrage. It could not have worked out better. Not only do I have more room to add weight than I'll ever need I did not have to buy additional wieghts as just about all the weights I have are standard. There was one piece I could not apply, a spring which appeared as if it should have been on the release handle for the seat/weight carrage. But I've never missed it. You can see this machine in use on you tube, put in the product name and a guy has something like 1880 lbs loaded on it, how he did it I dont know could not see it all that well. But point is it can be done and the machine can take it.

The product works great when new, but rollers wear out quickly.They get flat spots.When you try to get replacements good luck.Powertec has your money so getting you replacement parts is nottheir problem. Been waiting 10 months for new rollers and they blame iton their supplier. I have a very expensive paper weight taking up roomin my basement. Buy a different brand.

I wanted this sled for it's hack squat abilities & it's compact size. I was able to find this same item on another website for $200 less so I decided to take a chance. What any buyer should know is that the instruction manual is worthless. The parts are mislabeled in their packaging as well as on the diagrams. I was able to figure out where everything went with a little guess work. No parts were missing and nothing needed modified. So far, the sled is working fine. The guide rods and bushings are exposed so I make certain that they are kept clean. I'll keep a close watch on them based on other reviews. I only give it a rating of 3 because of the poor manual, the engineering of the apparatus could have been better, and because of stories of faulty bushings.
