Purchased to upgrade the included leash in a SUP package. Very comfortable and is never under foot. Not noticeable that it’s even on. Easily and securely attaches to board. Very well built. 100% pleased and would buy again in a second!

works great. I had a tornado hit while this ankle strap was velcro'd to the dock. My paddle board never came unhooked so the velcro strap really held up! the cord is very sturdy as well. I would highly recommend this product.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Great leash, been using it consistently in fresh water for SUP for7 years now. Grabbed it yesterday and noticed it was in 2 pieces. Have no idea how this happened, could have been my fault. I reached out to SBS and they replaced it, no questions asked. Can't recommend this product enough.

I hadn't ever used a SUP leash before, being new to paddle boarding, but I really like this one. The padding in the ankle strap makes it comfortable. It is easy to forget I am wearing it! The Velcro on the straps is really strong, and I feel totally secure while using the strap. Although I do spend most of my time paddle boarding on a lake close to my house, I was hesitant to buy the coiled version because I assumed that I would have to stay really close to the board when in the water (I nanny 5 small children who love to jump/fall off the board while I wait in the water to grab them and put them back on the board), but I was easily able to swim several feet away from the board, and the swivel feature on the strap kept it from ever getting tangled even when I swam under the board. The product is great, but far better was the customer service from Santa Barbara Surfing. I believe they genuinely care whether or not their customers get and enjoy quality products. They followed up with me about my product and even offered their expertise on SUP life if I should have any questions in the future. They were prompt with communication and very kind. I will gladly be a returning customer for all future needs.

I don't use mine for surfing, I use it as a tether for my floating sand sifter when I metal detect in the water, just strap it to my ankle and it follows me. I also use it on the job, I work in an aerial lift up to 120 ft, I attach all my power tools to the basket with a tether to avoid dropping a power tool works great for that though I had to modify it a bit so it holds the tool more securely that with just velcro, which I am not convinced would stop the tool from falling [the velcro would fail with an 18v tool for sure without being modified. As it, it is much more versatile that the plain 9 wire we use. Of course this is not their fault as it was not designed for this application - Though if I were you guys, I would look into making a tool tether based 90% on this, you'd need some sort of slip knot one one end of very strong string with those locking plastic balls on them, maybe double for safety. The other velcro end is larger and actually is sufficient to hold it to the basket as is, but I don't have 100& confidence in it. Velcro is nice for for something like this, a metal carbiner would be better., clip right on to the bucket, it would travel easily along the rail and be rock solid secure I'll end up modding mine into just that, but if you made one I would or sure like to try it.

Comfortable, durable, and looks great on my boards.

After burning through 3 other coiled leashes in three years from very well know brands I decided to try this one. The price was right, and so far the quality is great. Only time will tell, but it appears very well made, sturdy, and comfortable. By comparison, my last one, by a certain three letter company, broke when my 6 year old had it on his leg and walked away from the board onshore.

This leash is high quality, comfortable, secure and reliable. It does exactly what I need, should I fall off my board.
