New Balance Men's Fresh Foam Beacon V3 Running Shoe

I've been running in these for a couple years now. Best, most comfortable show I've ever run in. I tend to strike with my forefoot and midfoot. In recent years I've been trying to mix up my stride - sometimes running heel-to-toe. This shoe is unique in that it seems perfect for all of the above. Just the right amount of cushioning from toe to heal, and a nice comfy fit that just works for me. Soft, light, and zippy. I wish NB would keep this model going but they haven't released an update to this version after a couple of years so...buy what's left while you can! They are "cheap" enough (relatively) at this point to at least give them a try.

I have been running in Nike Free shoes for at least the past 10 years and I have adjusted to their light weight and minimalist construction.When I decided it was time for new shoes, I realized that the minimalist shoe might not be best in 1/2 marathon training for a guy in his 40s, so I decided to try some other shoes.I tried the Asics Nimbus which may have been the most comfortable shoe I had ever worn, but they were too heavy (and very expensive).I tried the Mizuno Wave Rider. Nice, but too heavy.The New Balance Beacon 3's were available on Amazon as a "Try Before You Buy" for $79. Even though I've never owned a pair of New Balance shoes (they never felt quite right when I was trying them on), I decided that I had nothing to lose by ordering them.The Beacon 3s were an absolute find. These shoes give me plenty of cushion and provide me all the security I need while not sacrificing weight - they barely weight over 8 oz!Needless to say, I'm keeping these bad boys and they will be my primary daily running shoe. The only possible negative involves the tongue, but I don't have the same issue that everybody else has. The tongue stays in place, but it is too rigid and rubs raw the area where it meets my foot/ankle/leg. This is only an issue if you aren't wearing socks or are wearing no show socks like I do (well, like I did). Changing to ankle, quarter or crew socks makes this a non-issue.I could not recommend this shoe enough as a legit alternative to a minimalist shoe. I also just bought a pair of Saucony Kinvara 12's that will serve as my "speed" shoes when doing track work out or racing 5Ks, but the Beacon 3 is absolutely going to save my feet from an early demise. I would, and I will, buy them again.

I haven't put a lot of miles on these ... I guess about 100 so far, but I like the feel of the Fresh Foam sole and the lightness, and the uppers are relatively cool and fit me well. I've read another review complaining the heel cup is loose compared with the V2. I never tried that model, but I agree the heel could be snugger. Other aspects of the fit like the roomy toe box are pleasing to my particular needs. It's my current favorite.

Pros:1. So good looking. The knit and how the back of the shoes, and front of the shoes match in color when your pants are just over it makes it look so awesome looking. The colors are very accurate. Design and texture is better in person.2. N logo reflects light at night - which is a very nice touch.3. Super cushion - I've had a lot of NB before, and I bought them because they were super comfortable to just wear all day long. Going for a long walk or short sprints, lifting heavy stuff, or whatever that you don't want to wear your dress shoes for. And this is no different. Very supportive. Arch support is very good as well for those with medium arch.4. Shoe lace test - I like it when I put the shoe laces in, and there are enough. Also, it doesn't roll up when you lace it. It stays in place pretty good.5. Super easy to put on. There is some give, or stretch that it makes it super easy to put on. You can't put it on while standing, but this is easier to put on then most shoes I've had.Cons:1. It gets dirty sooo fast. I washed this after two days or wearing it. The knit and the bottom white gets dirty so fast. Once you get something on the knitted part, it's very difficult to get it out.2. The rear part that hugs your heels tend to be loose if your shoes not super tight. It's not terrible, but I just imagined that the design lends itself to hug your heels no matter how tight your laces are. Not the case. I wish it was elastic or something, so it holds you up.3. Tongue tend to go to the side. This bothers me a lot on any shoes, but this shoes does it. It slides to the right or left and leaves a little gap. It's not uncomfortable, but it does bother me a bit aesthetically.Are there better shoes than this? Of course. But depends on your foot shape (I have a medium, normal, all toes line up, second toe is ever slightly longer than my big toe, medium width, medium arch foot) I don't think you can find one this comfortable that looks this good (NB makes walking shoes for dad's that's suppose to be super comfortable - according to my father I bought one for).I'd buy.

This is one of the best athletic pair of shoes and very good looking one. Outstanding and comfortable shoe. I am a size 8/41 and this particular model is wide enough for my type of feet.

I have been running for about 5 years now, this is my 5th pair of running shoes. I had the Fresh Foam Beacon v2 before and loved them. I moved onto other pairs of running shoes since and have always found myself comparing my running shoes to the performance of the Fresh Foam v2. Now that I was back in the market for new running shoes I saw the Fresh Foam v3 and knew there was no other choice. I am glad to have the v3, they are really very similar to the performance of the v2, maybe slightly different, but overall mostly the same, and that is actually a good thing, why change a good thing? Not a huge heal drop, great for learning to land midsole, suuuuper lightweight, and just the right amount of cushion, not to much, not to little, excellent for long runs and short fast runs.

Great walking shoe!

Sugiro que comprem uma número maior, pois ele tem uma forma pequena. Eu uso tamanho 38, que são tenis com palmilha de 25,5cm, neste modelo é o nº 39 que possui esse tamanho. A melhor qualidade dele é ser confortável. Ele tem bom amortecimento sem ser macio demais. O caimento ficou perfeito. Estava com trauma de tênis que tem um contraforte ruim como o Pegasus 37, este tem uma espuma que fica pressionando o calcanhar, cheguei a abrir o tenis para arrancar ela de lá. Esse Beacon, pelo contrário, abraça seu pé, ele é realmente muito fofinho por dentro. É um modelo mais barato, não há solado, só entressola, que parece muito durável. E também é um modelo que saiu de linha, por isso custa "apenas" R$ 300,00. Para quem não quer gastar um rim num 1080, é uma ótima opção. Para quem precisa de outro tênis nessa faixa de preço, só que mais leve, mais rápido, mais responsivo e indicado para treinos mais curtos, eu recomendo o KR5 da Fila.

EL producto llego bien, aunque uno de ellos estaba manchado, pero no afecto nada el zapato. tambien lo pedi con horma standard pero me llego con horma grande, que solo con unos ajustes en las agujetas me ayudo a que el zapato se sintiera ajustado pero que no lastimara el pie. Lo estrene el mismo dia haciendo una serie de fartlek y la verdad se sintieron grandiosos, me senti muy agusto parecia que flotaba muy comodos y despues los use en un duatlon y la verdad me senti muy confiado en ellos super bien al correr. excelente zapato. tenia hace muchos años unos NB pero eran duros y pesados estos nuevos mejoraron 1000%
