NPW Sound Effects Machine Safari Noises Novelty

I purchased this unit to use during story telling at church. I also use it with my son when he is doing spelling or some other learning activity to add fun sound effects to our repetitive exercises. The volume cannot be adjusted. But it is loud enough to be heard clearly in a room 15 by 20 feet squared with about 20 people. I wouldn't use it in any larger context than that without a microphone. The sounds are a little tinny, but for the price and convenience, they are the quality I expected. I have gotten a lot of use out of this all ready. It adds a nice audio/surprise dimension to my stories, and the children and adults like it. I recommend it.

Fun to use...sound is a little ashed out as compared to other devices of this type.

Cute concept but the animal noises made were a split second and you really couldn't distinguish one animal from another. I changed the batteries thinking that was the problem, but the same noise came out. Didn't return item because it's probably not worth the return postage. I've purchased other sound machine toys from Amazon and had no problems. I'm very disappointed with the Safari.

Works well. It is SUPER loud.

This thing is hilarious.I got it specifically to mess with unwanted calls like those annoying telemarketers. I used to get upset, now I want them to call so I can use this sound effects machine and have a good laugh!The sounds are clear and surprisingly loud. They're funny as heck too.The price is right. If you want to hear the sounds, go to youtube and search for this and it'll come up. That's what I did before I bought it.Great for a laugh!

I was disappointed in this. It's pretty quiet and you can't really tell what the sound is suppose to be. It sounds more like the thing is glitching out than an animal.

I use this in class and my students love it. However, I think some of the sounds are mislabeled.

I received this plastic box that didn't work. The "noises" from it did not sound clearly nor did they sound like the icon. Not worth it. To add injury to insult ...I returned the item. And I'm still being charged for it!!! Save your money get an app for sound effects.

I've rated this as "I Love It" when in actual fact nothing could be further from the truth.The noises are amusing at first but after twenty minutes of incessant pressing they somewhat lost their appeal - for me at least. Sadly, my ten year old loves it so I am hoping the batteries (which are included) run out VERY soon or else this toy may become unexplainedly lost...........There is a "dum dum duuummmmmm" noise which seemed to be her favourite and was played whenever someone got a text/call/the doorbell went and she was rather inventive with the other noises too - like I say amusing at first............Great delivery time and a really good price; just be prepared to become amused then annoyed!

i am still wondering what tv showe these sound fx are from as it was my favourite show and me n some friends was regular viewers !!,... somewhere in hollywood i think !!

Not impressive - fitted batteries had no power

Great range of sounds and years after I brought it, the batteries still work.

My husband had hours of fun with this, until I confiscated it due to be really annoying!!!!
