I receive frequent special eye care, leaving my eyes irritated, dry, and very uncomfortable. These drops were recommended by my mother's eye doctor to reduce her dry eye condition. She has about 8 eye drops a day and these Refresh Gel Drops help keep her eye moist. I purchase it using Amazon Subscription service - which is generally very good value for the money when I compare to purchasing it locally.

So much better than having the watery drops running all over my face... I can use/apply the right amount much easier. These drops are just slightly thicker, they do blur my vision for a minute or so, but I don't have to use so often either and moisturizes my dry eyes much better than the watery type! I use twice daily AM n PM, and wake with my eyes much more comfortable!

If you have contacts or don't, either way, this is amazing stuff. When I put it in my husband's eyes I can see the gel solution slowly coat his eyes! Instead of simply sliding right out lol. We do need solutions but this gel is a game changer for those cold football nights in Texas!

The Refresh eyedrops are a great product. The idea of a gel-based product is appealing because it will stay in the eye and lubricate when others run out. But you have to get it into the eye first. And these drops come in a little plastic bottle and not the single-use plastic tubes other Refresh products have. And therein lies the problem. The plastic bottle is far too stiff, and makes getting a drop out difficult. When you get frustrated and give it the old "heave-ho" you get much more product than you want. I'm not sure why the manufacturer doesn't use a thinner-walled bottle (hint to Refresh - less material means cheaper bottles - you'll save money) so it is easier to use.It's not a question of strength - but of convenience and control. This is definitely a five-star product if they make the application easier.
