Essential tool for my business
This flat file has become an indispensable tool in my jewelry business. The quality of the file is excellent, with a sturdy construction and a fine grit that provides a smooth, even finish.I use this file to refine and shape the rings I create, ensuring that every edge and surface is perfectly smooth and polished. The handle is comfortable to grip, allowing for precise control and ease of use, even during longer projects. The durability of the file is impressive, as it has maintained its effectiveness over numerous uses without wearing down. If you’re in need of a reliable and high-quality flat file for jewelry making or any other fine-detail work, I highly recommend this one. It has made a significant difference in the quality and efficiency of my work.

Works great for filing cut silverware pieces for jewelry
I started making jewelry out of old spoons. After I use bolt cutters to separate the bowl of the spoon from the handle, I needed a way to file the cut edges. As the pieces are made into necklaces, I need the metal to be completely smooth - no burrs to snag clothing when worn. This file works great for my purposes. I like that it’s nice and long so I can run the cut edges down the length of it and then as it gets smoother, just use shorter back and forth movements.I like the blue handle - so if I leave out on jewelry workbench it looks ‘industrial cool’. Good price. Happy with it.

Works great on my garden tools
After watching a youtube video on the correct way to use a file like this, I sharpened a small axe I have, as well as a tree limb lopper. Seems like it did a good job. I didn't need a razor's edge, just something to bring it mostly back. The axe was the easiest for me to sharpen and test, and it seems like it did a great job. Just make sure to watch a video on sharpening things with files, there's a particular way to do it, and you want to "de-bur" the other side of the blade after, also using the file. It's all dead simple.
