Simple, straight to the point.
Simple standard size bookbag/backpack. No markings or stickers except for one small AmazonBasics tag. Feels exactly like a jansport or eastpak brand backpack. I have carried it around with me on hikes and when i run out of the house and need tools to take along with me. Some AmazonBasics items are "meh", but this is one of the better/best items i have bought from the AmazonBasics line. If you need a simple plain backpack that will get the job done and save yourself some money, then this is the one!

Perfect backpack, kid - approved
This is a fantastic value for a classic school backpack. It's not fancy, but it's reliable, roomy and built to last. I would recommend it for any student who needs a sturdy, simple bag without any extra frills. The zipper works well without getting stuck like our old one. It feels nice and thick looks like it will last a long time.

The little backpack that could!
I’ve had this backpack since January 2018 and intended to use it for college classes since I needed a smallish backpack that could carry books and things and keep my laptop safe. This did the trick nicely. The pack as a small zipper pocket inside above the laptop sleeve where I put a charger and headphones and the sleeve is where I put my chrome book. The pack also has these two pockets on the inside that are perfect for putting my wallet and phone into or even a water bottle or monster (sealed) in to keep it from just falling into the large compartment which is what I hated about the jansport bag, it had no pockets or organization just one big area for you to throw everything. This bag also has to pencil/pen slots inside where I put a sharpie and a pilot g2. The exterior side pockets are awesome and have a strip of hook and loop that keep them shut. These are perfect for your keys but can only fit a standard plastic water bottle no thermo flasks or anything sizable. The front zip pocket is devoid of internal dividers or pockets and works well. The bag itself is durable and seems to handle a beating. The handle and straps are sturdy and well padded. About 10 months ago I transitioned this to my work bag and it holds up to hospital life well. I squeeze it in and out of lockers and cram it full of stuff to survive my 12 and sometimes 16 hour shifts, like lunch, deodorant, spare toothbrush and paste, cologne spare socks and underwear, spare pair of scrubs, charger, headphones, water bottle, keys, pens etc. and it always has more space for whatever I need on top of that. It’s awesome and hasn’t torn or ripped anywhere. Can’t say enough about this product just buy one for commuting at least and you’ll love it too.

Great Quality and Affordable Backpack from Amazon!
Bought this backpack because I needed a last minute replacement before the beginning of classes. I have never really bought anything from Amazon's own brand so I can gladly say that this is my first Amazon Basic purchase and I am really happy with it. First thing I noticed was how great the actual backpack looks and feels. But one of the main things I want to point out is the quality and build of this backpack. In my opinion Amazon made a great product for a really affordable price. It's very comparable to other brand name backpacks that of course come with a higher price tag. Another thing that I really like is the space and pockets that this bag provides. The inside of the bag has two front pockets, two pencil holders, and a laptop pouch. Like I said before I bought this backpack on a whim and didn't really get to look at its features so I was very very surprised to see that it included a laptop pouch AND side bottle holders! The only thing that I am not a fan of but will obviously get used to it is the shape of the bag. It is not like normal backpacks that are kind of an oval-like shape. The shape that you see the backpack in the picture is pretty much the said shape of the backpack. It doesn't "sag" like other bags do and looks a bit awkward while you are wearing it since the bag never really flattens, but don't let this discourage you from making this purchase. If you are looking for a backpack that is cheap, durable, has a laptop pouch, and is of good quality? Then I recommend you stop right here and purchase this backpack from Amazon.

Durable
I bought this 7 years ago because it was cheap and I figured I couldn't lose at that price. It's still going strong now. It's a pretty nice size too - I can use it to carry a variety of things from books to grocery shopping and it seems to have a bit more room than previous backpacks. But it's not huge. So it's great for any kind of daily activities but if you're looking to pack for a trip you might look for something a tad bigger. But I don't think you can go wrong with it regardless. Seven years of constant use and it's still doing well. You don't see that often these days. Then again, I might have been lucky.

One MILLION STARS.
If I could give this 1 million stars, I would. I am extremely particular about my backpack. My favorite backpack died a few months ago and I have been desperately seeking a good replacement. I cycle to and from work every day for 18 mi and have gone through about 6 amazon backpacks in the last 3 months. Like Goldilocks, I'm 4' 11" woman and size matters. 1 was too big (30 L), one was too small (15L barely carried my sneakers), some were too heavy (waterproof wet bag), some had too many stupid pockets (freeknight, who needs a helmet net??), one was super lightweight and a decent 20L but the straps aren't padded enough and cut into my shoulders when I had too much stuff in it (New Outlander). But this Amazon Basics one is just right. It's so simple really. Roomy, good depth and width, carries all of my gym clothes, shoes, laptop and room to spare, padded inside pocket, small zippered internal pocket for important stuff, huge front pocket for random stuff, 2 sizeable side pockets for easy access to key/cards/cell phone with velcro to close (genius)! So few backpacks have velcro on the side pockets. It's either wide open and easy for stuff to fall out, or zippered which makes it not-so-easy to access. The color is SOOOO pretty! I love this vibrant baby blue!! It's so comfortable to bike with it!! I put it on and it felt just right!!! Seriously, for $15, I want to get 10 of them in every color and store them in the basement, just in case they get discontinued in 2020. I want to buy one for all my friends and family members. I want to wear it out on a hot date. I want to... oh you get the picture. Construction looks great and hopefully it lasts a year. I sprayed the entire backpack with Granger's waterproofing spray and tested it in the shower and water rolls right off of it. Now it's an even awesomer water-resistant backpack. Couldn't be happier. Wish I didn't spend over $100 on all the other backpacks that I will now be giving away. Nice job Amazon.

Urban Sketchers and Dungeon Masters take notice
I decided to go with this cheap & easy solution, instead of digging thru backpack reviews, and I have to say that this is one of the best backpacks I've ever owned. It's light, durable, and comfy, has pockets aplenty inside and out and is low-profile. Other backpacks had reflective stripes, buckles, charging ports, all this other fancy nonsense that I dont need. I need a backpack to put books and art supplies in, i'm not looking for a fashion statement, or hitting the Andes mountains on a 7 day trek. If you're an urban sketcher, or a dungeon & dragons player, or a day tripper, this has plenty of pockets for pencils and dice and every device. At the right price! Dont agonize for hours over backpack reviews - this is all you need

Horrible seams, will quickly fall apart
Man I love this backpack, this is the perfect size for college, and has a mid size sleeve to put a tablet or 13 in laptop in. The side pockets are Velcro so it’s very easy to put in your keys or phone without worrying about if it’ll fall out or if someone will steal it. Hard to fit a water bottle larger than 16oz. Straps are ok for me because I drive to school, I don’t have to carry the weight for long periods of time, but if you’re commuting through bus or train, the weight will give you a aching back and shoulders. DESPITE ALL THESE PROS, the stitching connecting the straps to the body of the bag is HORRIBLE. I’ve owned this for 2 week and already the weight of my binder, iPad, pencil case, folder with loose paper, and miscellaneous items is causing the seams to loosen up. The bag is great, but the seams are too cheap for my preference. The cloth attached to the zippers is also fraying. I wouldn’t mind these issues IF I owned the bag for at least a year or so, but it’s ONLY BEEN 2 WEEKS. yup, the caps are necessary lol.
