Ah Eminence, one of my guilty pleasures in life. This stuff takes off dead skin and smells like a pumpkin smoothie. What's not to like? All natural and it really does what it says. This is not so much an actual peel as it is a chemical (glycolic acid) exfoliant. The version you can take home and use is 5% acid. This is relatively mild, compared to the 20% stuff that you need an esthetician license to use. I'll get some mild tingling when I have it on, but nothing like an actual peel. Couple things to keep in mind; Since this stuff is knocking off the top layer of skin, you want to be very cautious about being in the sun. Without those pesky dead skin cells blocking the UV, you can burn surprisingly quickly. So SPF it up if you're planning to be outdoors for any length of time after using this. Second, this is (more or less) a natural product. I've been using this for years, and there is a lot of variation from lot to lot in regards to the color and to a lesser extent, texture. I don't think any lots I have had were "bad", it's just the nature of things. So don't immediately think something is wrong if one lot is more or less orange than another.This is not the most expensive line of skin care, but it's not cheap either. If you want to try some of the Eminence products without committing to a full size, there are often travel and/or sample sizes available (Google is your friend).

I had a facial with this mask at the Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay, CA. last week. I bought a jar at the spa after the facial and used it again yesterday at home. Hands down, the best exfoliating product I have ever used in my 53 years. Skin is smooth as silk, even toned and radiant. I didn't think a mask could do this but this product DID. If it's sold at the Ritz, it's good enough for me--they love the line at the spa there. Very nice tingle but not too much when on, washes off easily and performs.

It is a beautiful product. I keep my in the fridge as it is packed with natural ingredients and actually turns the lid black if you leave it out in warm environments. Very powerful too. Use sparingly and carefully to enjoy its exfoliating power without turning your face bright red!!
