Do you put the smooth side on the floor or the textured pls

I am not sure myself. I had the same problem, I tried both ways and eventually decided to leave the smoth side to the floor and the textured side upward. This seemed to suit my laminated hard flooring better and provided some anti-slip for my office chair wheels. In the end I would think it would depend on your flooring and personal choice.

Can you use with underfloor heating?

It can be heated, but the temperature should not exceed 40 degrees Celsius

Does this stop your chair from sliding all over the place uncontrollably?

Yes, it does. The issues I face are that the chair goes off the mat (so buy the bigger size) and the mat itself keeps moving so I have to straighten it a few times a day.

Does it get yellow/unclear after being used for a while, long term use?

I’ve had mine for 6 months and it hasn’t discoloured.
