yes, the cpu can support, however, the bios setup is motherboard dependent.

I have used the one further from the CPU for a Samsung Pro 1TB NVME SSD, and I'm getting full speed.

Defective motherboard

Unfortunately, the motherboard I received was defective, with the error "USB over current detected" being report by BIOS, with no USB device connected to the motherboard.I suspect this may have been used before I received it.Not a happy customer.
