They are sweet yes, The texture can be different being that they are a natural product sometimes they can be really sweet and juicy, or mealy & bitty, still sweet but just not as nice a texture. But they are one of my fave fruits when you get one that's just right.

Is it a whole melon or in pieces? I plane on makeing vodka spiked melon.

Not quite sure, I imagine if it says whole watermelon then it would be exactly that and if not it would say watermelon chunks.. but alway be aware that if they don't have one it may get swaped for another, but they did tend to send an email asking if it was an ok swap. Hope that kinda helps
