I got this kit to fix the joystick and SL/SR strip on my left Joy-Con, and it worked perfectly! The whole process took me about an hour, and once I finished, my Joy-Con felt as good as new. Also, YOU DON’T NEED TO REMOVE THE BATTERY FROM THE BOARD! There’s a risk of ripping the connector, so just slide the battery off to the side, and you’re good to go. If you’re replacing the joystick, don’t forget to calibrate it in the settings afterward to make sure it works properly. The tools included are decent, and the repair isn’t too difficult, but you’ll need a bit of patience, a steady hand, and make sure to use the tweezers for the small parts. I also appreciate that the kit includes other parts, like replacement locks, which will definitely come in handy if I need to make more repairs down the line. Overall, this kit is awesome for fixing up Joy-Cons without spending a fortune (saved me £60!). If you’re into a bit of DIY, this is totally worth it!

This is only about twice the cost of the already cheap stick kit, that just includes the 2 replacement sticks. With everything this includes, it's an absolute bargain and essentially allows you to rebuild 2 Joy-Cons. One of the sticks on my sons Joy-Con was a little crunchy. So I thought, 'whilst I'm in there'... This will be the second time they sticks have been replaced and the third time for the shoulder button boards. The kit is inclusive, including having 2 metal lock tabs, which I never would have thought to have replaced. The screwdrivers included are better quality than those I bought in a specific Joy-Con screwdriver kit, at probably the same cost as this entire kit. All parts fitted like the original parts did. I expect similar longevity to the other parts I've replaced but, as long as they last long enough for when the Switch 2 is released, that will be enough.

I bought this to repair my son’s switch controller as he has a knack of dropping them. The kits is amazing. Comes with every tool you need, screw drivers, tweezers. Comes with everything you need to repair or rebuild each left and right controller. Faultless and a great kit . At around £10 it’s 1/8th the cost of new controllers

I used to repair a controller that was not recognised when attached.... replacement was easy with video and appears as good as original. I tried the metal lock for another controller and this did not help at all. Replacing the locking edge resolved the problem though.

This product was great! I had a few controllers that had issues with the SR/LR buttons. The package comes with a pair one left and one right joycon SR/LR board. I also used the tools provided to replace the battery (purchased separately) in another controller. I’m now planning to replace the black sliding rails on a couple of controllers with the ones in the pack (comes with x1 right, x1 left). Before doing that, I felt the need to write this review and give a 5-star rating, as I was really impressed with how much is included. Great value for money and would recommend! Saved me a tonne of money!

Perfect. Everything you need (including the tools). The ribbons are only for the brave and steady hands. But worth it.

Thankfully I did manage to fix my joy-con with the kit and the parts work fine such as the joystick. However, apart from the tweezers which were good, the screwdrivers themselves were poor quality because for removing and rea-dding Y shaped screws it was damaging the metal tops of the screw and I made sure to use the correct screwdriver provided. That and the plastic Spudger was far too wide to use without damaging other components. So overall mixed feelings. TLDR: The parts work fine, but the tools aren't great.

It’ll take some perseverance and patience, but this was a much more affordable and suitable option to getting new sticks! The only problem is that there’s some slight differences between controller generations, so you might need to adapt the tutorial a little bit. But that’s not a fault of the kit.

Achat pour réparer un joycon drift et la synchronisation du joycon/ bouton SL&SR/ led vertes de mon joycon gauche. La réparation est relativement simple. J’ai utilisé un tutoriel YouTube d’ifixit. Les joysticks sont similaires à ceux d’origine donc c’est ok. Celui remplacé fonctionne bien après un essai (à voir dans le temps). Concernant la platine pour la synchronisation, celle fourni paraît un peu fragile par rapport à celle d’origine mais fonctionne parfaitement après remontage. Je n’ai pas l’utilité pour le moment des glissières et des blocages métalliques donc pas d’avis là dessus. L’outillage est plutôt bon et est impeccable pour la réparation (tournevis aimantés). Je recommande pour le moment. Édit: après plusieurs semaines d’utilisation, le revêtement du joystick devient « brillant » et tourne sur lui même (voir photo: gauche joystick après plusieurs utilisation, droite joycon tout juste remplacé). Cela dit, le joycon drift n’est pas réapparu pour le moment. La nappe pour les boutons SL et SR fonctionne toujours. Je ne change pas la note.
