It was a fun addition!

The material is similar to a plastic tube that is easy to bend so be careful with the screwing on of the pieces for the staff area of the trident. It is easy to put together but very malleable due to the material, a piece of the tubing came bent in the mail and so my trident was not straight due to it. Be sure to look out for where it is stored and how it’s put together. Overall I enjoyed the product. Also I enjoyed how tall the trident was, I am 5,3” and even in heels if cam up to my cheek area.

Mine came in perfect condition unlike some of the reviews I read. I thought the plastic pieces might not stand up to a night of trick or treating with our grandkids, so I purchased a 3 ft by 3/4 ‘ diameter wooden dowel and put a piece of black gorillla tape on the end before pushing it into the open end of the first plastic tube coming out of the spears and decided to just st use the entire 3 ft dowel as the handle. We then took the wide black gorilla tape and ran it length wise all the way down the dowel on each side and then bent the tape over one side at a time to completely cover the dowel so it is black. Then we cut the very end off the last (end piece) of what would’ve been the plastic handle and pushed it into the end tape was necessary on the end of the dowel toward the spear to snug it up before screwing on because 3/4’ diameter was just a tiny bit too small.Now it is very strong and we shouldn’t have an issue as I carry it around and get in and out of the car with it.

The connections break super easy. Had to tape to hold together (if you don't want plastic to crack where the connections go in, then make sure not to twist too tightly). You could also secure it by taping them at the connections. Overall it is what it says it is.

This is one of the most fragile items I have ever felt. Anytime I pick it up and move it I am scared the tiny bit of weight on the end of the trident is going to snap the extremely weak staff. The paint came already pealing on the gold portion as well. 10/10 would recommend something else.

The piece was a bit flimsy but served the purpose.

This was exactly what we needed for my husbands Halloween costume. He’s King Triton this year to match the mermaids in the house and the children have already tried to take it and use it. Needless to say, it’s been a BIG hit in our house! Definitely recommend and it’s a really good quality too!
