Better than expected
The quality is equal to the cost. Not super high quality, but good enough for my needs. I was looking for something small and light weight for backpacking. Tip for beginners: the black paint is pretty, but it interferes with fire steel. First thing I had to do was sand the paint (or scrap is also an option) from the fire steel and the knife edge I planned on using for a striker. Annoying that it was painted in the first place. Fire steels only work when it is metal on metal. It's better to spend an extra 10 minutes of prep time while unpacking than to be up in the hills and having to try and get a spark off of paint with wet, cold fingers. Once I got the paint off I was surprised at the quality of the fire steel. Second tip is that the hatchet is thin metal. I want to use this as a hammer for tent pins and so forth. So I welded two pieces of flat steel to the back. Tripling its thickness on the back edge. And covered that with another piece of flat steel. Giving it a low profile hammer face that still it's in the sheath. I planned this before purchasing the item, so that doesn't affect the star review. With a little modifying, I have a hammer axe combo that is lighter and less expensive than most. If you're handy you might want to consider this. The blades are sharp out of the box, just not that sharp as I prefer, but that is no biggie. It doesn't take long to put a good edge on them. Overall, I'm happy with this.

Great starter kit... Makes a great gift...
I think for the price this is a deal you need to grab for anyone interested in the outdoors... I view it as a starter kit that can grow and change with upgrades... ( IE the full tang axe is cool, but it's more like a swinging knife, Lighter than the included large knife) I have already upgraded this little axe to a Gerber... It provides a great base, all the blades will need sharpening prior to going out in the woods or you will be disappointed. The sheathes are what to be expected they are so-so ... The flashlight is the only thing I can really be cynical about... First off I have tons of little fu-fu flashlights and this fits in the junk drawer along with the others, I will say slightly better than dollar store quality, but if you can zoom in on my included picture, around the lens... The paint job is definitely poor and has a few rust spots already... The complete package is worth the money and don't let a fu-fu flashlight change your mind... It's a good starter kit... I hope it comes back in stock soon... Because I'd like to buy a few as holiday gifts...

Good, not great. Solid B+
The bad: The axe has no weight to it, the knife is not super sharp, the carabiners are flimsy, and do not fit all items, and the sharpener is to small to really be useful. The good: the axe and machete are absurdly sharp, and great for whittling and the machete is great for removing tree limbs, the rope is good quality, and the fire rod is a good make if you know how to use it. Untested: have not used the flashlight as I have a better one, but it fits in my glove compartment so it lives there for now.

Great for camping and zombie defense
Very sharp and perfect for zombie defense. If you're like me then you have an enormous zombie problem. Sure they claim to be various types of "delivery" drivers and say things like "please stop I'm not a zombie... I'm a human... there are no zombies" bla bla bla... but I know in my heart what they really are. The one that delivered this tried the same thing but little did that undead monster know about what was in the package he clearly stole from a proper Amazon driver. The blades are good quality. The hatchet is much smaller than you're thinking most likely. Would also work well as camping tools.

All n all id buy it again and recommend it to others
I love all the items n well worth the money even though there are a few defects as i would call them. It would help to have a top over the sandstone and firestarter with a button i lost the firestarter on my very first hike and never used it it fell out. And the belt loop on the knife sheath broke but i am pretty rough on things so half n half. And my main question is why is the hatchet belt loop made to hold the axe at a parallel to the ground position? Yes im using tbe carabineer to hold it where the handle hangs down beside my leg. But even though it sounds like im complaining its constructive criticism because I would buy it again because it was well worth the purchase after all this . I absolutely love everything in this package. 😁

Best deal for your money
This axe, knife, and hatchet kit is well worth the money. You get a ton of gear for a modest price and the material quality rivals that of products that cost 2-3x more. If you're looking for a simple and lightweight hatchet kit to add to your camping supplies, this has my first recommendation. The blades come with their own sheaths as well, which never hurts.

Pleased with a potential to be impressed
Ordered this product and was happy about the professional and sturdy look. It has many extra features beyond just being a blade. The rope around the knife grip add extra security. Not sure I'll know how to rewrap it after I use the chord. The blades felt really sharp when I initially opened the package. Expected the teeth on the larger knife to eat through the ball when I pulled it back out. The video shows otherwise. But if sharpening is all I have to do then I'm alright with that. Good purchase. I'll try it in the outdoors to see how it really works. FYI, The ball was already losing air before I made the video.

I'm a third generation wilderness enthusiast and I love trying out different types of bushcraft, survival gear. This kit piqued my curiosity due to its low price compared to the number of items it offered. I bought this kit a little over a year ago and tested it thoroughly. Let's review each item one by one: 1) The handaxe: Very small, too small to do much besides cutting off little branches from small trees. But the machete does that, and everything else better. The axe feels clumsy in your hand - the handle is too small and too flat even with the rope tied around it. It cuts, it's light so you can put it in a bag and carry it around easily, but it's not super handy. I like the three bolt holes though. That could be handy if you have something mechanical to fix and you don't have the necessary tools. Then again, how many situations like this will happen in your life? Not many, I reckon. The axe comes with its own sleeve which is solid and protects the tool really well. Personally I carry it in my ATV's back seat compartment. 2) The machete: EXCELLENT machete with a solid rubber handle and well proportioned weight. The weight makes it easy to hack through stuff, and it's not too heavy either so you never really get tired by using it. You can do a lot with this machete. I carry it with my main hiking bag. It comes with its own protective sleeve as well - same as above. 3) The knife. It also kind suffers from the same cons as the handaxe. It feels a bit clumsy. The handle is not super fitting in your hand. Personally I would recommend the bigger bowie knives by the same company - those are awesome. But this one can be helpful in more specific situations. I carry it with my fishing gear, to cut fishing lines and such. It's small and very light. Also comes with its sleeve. Nice little knife anyway. It's almost pocket knife sized. 4) Flashlight. It's strong but not for long. See it as a plan C or plan D flashlight. However, it's small and light, so it fits easily in a bag or pouch. It's sturdy. 5) Carabiners. Interesting addition to this kit. I wouldn't use them to lift myself, but if you have a bag with food in it and you're camping, it would be a good idea to use those to hang your bag on a high tree branch to keep animals from gaining access to your stuff. I reckon they could probably withstand 100lbs maybe. However there clearly are more robust carabiners out there. 6) Whetstone: It's a regular whetstone. Too small for your machete to do an efficient job, but it could be helpful for the small knife. Personally I use much bigger whetstones for the machete or a strop for my other blades. 7) Flint stick: Very efficient. I lit one fire very easily with it. It makes really good sparks. The little handle is perfect. You can tie it to a string and attach it to your bag or pouch. Those things don't last super long once you start using them and this one isn't no exception. However, you never have enough of those. They're extremely handy when you don't have matches. Use them on magnesium chips for quicker firestarting. For newbies: you need to get the black paint cover off before it can make sparks. Overall I'm very satisfied with this kid. The negatives can be forgotten when you consider the price. The machete alone is almost worth the full price. Mossy Oak is a pretty solid survival gear company. So far I've been satisfied with their products.

Great value in this bundle. Everything came fairly sharpened and had sheaths. Great to throw on hiking/camping bag.

All the blades are very sharp out of the box. Machete is decent but with the saw on top you cannot split wood with it nor do I think the blade is strong enough for it. Leave the chopping for the axe, which in itself is decent but I would have prefered it to be a bit sturdier, but you get what you pay for. No complains as of yet for the knife, overall just good. The carabiners are small but surprisingly strong so getting a few of those is a nice little treat, along with the paracord and sharpening stone. The flashlight is what you would expect, not great, not the worst ive seen. And lastly with pictures is the flint, it is only a small piece of flint in essentially a holder. Honestly I would pay the extra if they added a full size flint instead of this, this was the only part of the package I was really dissapointed in. As title says, good value for the cost and is a nice kit for the novice camper. If you are building any sort of bugout/survival kit I would save for higher quality.
