I discovered that my full-size T-leg ironing board was rusting and needed to be replaced. I thought back to how long I've had it. It must be at least 20 years old??! I most likely purchased it at a big box store, which was available where I lived at the time.I started shopping for a replacement at the same store, not realizing that the same quality comes at a higher price these days. I couldn't find the T-leg kind, which has a stability that I had grown used to. Instead, I tried to settle for a 4-leg ironing board that had its good points, but the stability and quality just weren't there (especially for sewing). I knew I wasn't happy with it, but I tried to like it by layering it with padded covers. I tried to "settle"...because it's a huge hassle to return an ironing board, because every ironing board out there requires you to buy a replacement padded cover (or 2), because padded covers are also more expensive now...because I wasn't expecting to need to put so much money into replacing an ironing board that was so simple to buy over 20 years ago!Finally, though, I got a refund for the first ironing board I had bought, and I decided to pay $30 more, here. Money well spent! This is a solid ironing board. It's full-size, stable, and the metal mesh top doesn't bend when you press on it. It's a little heavier than my 20-yr-old one, but it's still easy to carry, easy to raise and lower. And it has some "extras" that my old one didn't have: an iron rest, a shelf (which is also solid metal and stable), and it locks closed. I am not wishing this was a T-leg, because the stability is here. In fact, I was so happy with the stability of this ironing board when I opened it, that I thought for a moment that I could use it like playground equipment! (Only a moment, though...I was mistaken.)The only "negative," which is true of ALL available ironing boards these days, is that the cover it comes with probably needs to be replaced. It's made of polyester. However, the separate pad, underneath, is really nice and a full 1/4 inch thick! That's hard to find now, too!This is a solid, stable ironing board.

I love to iron, this ironing board is great value and quality..A must buy..!!!

I liked this ironing board but it was a tiny bit big and unstable.

The media could not be loaded.  I really like that! I have been use for a week already and it looks like resistant.

This is well built, a bit heavy, but rather have the weight over it being flimsy like my last cheap one I bought at Walmart. Worth every penny.

I was in the Army as an enlisted man for 25 years. That was back when boots were spit shined to a mirror finish and uniforms were pressed with creases that would cut roast beef. I became EXTREMELY INTIMATE with several ironing boards all around the world, literally. This one is a DEFINITE WINNER. It is a very sturdy platform upon which to spiff up your duds!!! It’s lightweight and has four legs instead of two with one of those “T joint” designs at the end of two flimsy legs. This one is flat and remains that way. It stays put on hardwood or carpet. The hand control that releases the legs from their stored position is sturdy! Unlike so many others, this model ACTUALLY has a tough handle and smooth action. It comes complete with a storage rack that will hold several items. The place designed to rest the iron while repositioning clothing is strong and secure. The finish on the fabric of the cover is phenomenal!!! It’s as slick as a good ironing board should be, but holds the clothes in place. This is a killer ironing board!!!!!!

Horrible design on legs that makes the table wobbly and unusable. Threw my money on the trash :-(

This is definitely sturdy. But the mesh covering is problematic. It leaves an imprint on your clothes which defeats the purpose of ironing.
