so far, it's great
Normally, I wouldn't buy a product like this but I had a credit and I'm glad I did (so far). I've been making Frittata's for decades using a dish but this pan makes it much quicker and I'm sure easier/neater for a beginner. The pans can be used separately, the non stick works great, so far.

Spanish tortilla is easy now!
I have been making Spanish tortillas for several years now since a friend from Madrid taught me how: cooking 4 large cubed potatoes and 1/2 onion in oil until soft, draining oil, then combining with 8 eggs and seasoning. The tricky part has always been flipping the half-cooked tortilla to a plate, then sliding the half-cooked runny, oily mess back into the pan to cook the other side. With these two pans that interlock, it was so easy to flip and no mess! A great tip from another reviewer was to pre-heat the second pan so cooking the opposite side happens right away without waiting for the pan to warm up. Now I'll probably make tortillas for my kids more often. Great snack for them to have after school.

Very LARGE pan with good features and great price
This pan arrived very soon after I placed the order. (Yay PRIME!) I was eager to try the pan, I've wanted one of these fold-in-half things for many years but was always cautious about how to use it and how good they really are.Well, I'm happy to report that the Cuisinart 10-inch Nonstick Pan Set is a really good buy! My only concern or moment of pause came when I opened the box and saw how deep the pans are. This is not a little pan for cooking up a quick omelette! You could easily cook a 12-egg omelette in it, or a huge frittata, or anything that is meant to serve a big group. I'm not complaining, just saying that any buyer should be aware that this is not a skinny-mini pan.Being deeper and larger in diameter means that it takes a little longer to heat up. I had to learn to wait for the pan to reach the perfect temperature before putting the contents inside, especially because if the pan is too hot, being this deep, the outside of your food will be done while the inside will still be uncooked. My "sweet spot" is actually low heat. I've learned from a few experiments with the Cuisinart pan that slow cooking definitely is best. The nonstick coating is what you'd expect, which means it will last a good while, but not forever. I use only wooden or plastic utensils, but even hanging the pan on a pot rack or any type of banging it around will result in a small gouge in the non-stick surface. Treat the pan very carefully and this won't be a problem. If you're used to using non-stick pans, you probably already know how to treat them.A very good value, quick shipping, and big enough to cook for a big family, the Cuisinart FP2-24BK Frittata 10-inch nonstick pan set is a good bargain, and I'm quite glad I got it!

GREAT safe and easy to flip a Spanish tortilla!!
TIP: Start with the pan that has the smaller ring at the end and then attach the pan with the larger ring for the flip. It makes getting the top pan off after the flip easier and less mess. Also be sure to heat the second pan before putting them together for the flip.Last year I discovered the Spanish tortilla and my family loved them! I’ve made them about 7 times, 2 at a time; so 14 total…but all instructions on the internet I’ve seen show flipping the Spanish tortilla to cook the other side by holding a large plate over the frying pan, with is barely larger than a 9.5” frying pan, and has proven difficult! My daughter asked me to make them this week, and I didn’t hold the plate correctly and quick on the flip, and my Spanish tortilla went into the sink…(attached picture). That’s the 3rd one out of 14 that I’ve completely ruined and wasted!!Sooo frustrated, I got on Amazon wondering if anyone makes something to help flip food like this, and to my surprise I found this product! It’s a Cuisinart! It’s well made with bolts through the pan and perfectly non-stick so no sticking to the top pan after the flip!Today I made two Spanish tortillas with these pans and flipping it was so easy, and safe! No worry about the plate slipping, or getting burned touching the hot pan, or having hot food hit my arm. These are a MUST when making Spanish tortillas!! Absolutely love this Cuisinart pan set!!

Love making tortilla de patata and frittatas
The media could not be loaded. Perfect for frittata and tortilla de patataI have been looking for one of this for a while and I decided to try this one and I can say that it works perfectly for what I wanted it. I am originally from Spain and I wanted to make tortilla de patatas. It worked great. Easy to use and to clean. Since both sides can be used separately it is very easy to stack them up when I am not using them.
