Handmade Bourbon-Soaked Fruitcake, 1lb, Monastery Baked Good handmade by Nuns of St. Benedict

I agree with other reviewers that it is small in size, but it is NUCLEAR A-BOMB heavy. The little cake I received weighed a full pound out of the box. This fruitcake is super dense, rich, and delightfully boozy to the perfect degree. It's so delicious! Each bite is a revelation. Everyone loved it. There are 5 of us at my house, and everyone got a goodly portion, with some leftover (for me to have the next day!). But at our family Christmas party, we serve fruitcake alongside other festive foods, rather than serving it as the sole dessert (slice of cake on a plate) after dinner. I can certainly see how it would not be practical for that kind of situation, or for entertaining a large group, unless you got more than one. I'll be the first to say that it's probably not a great value for the money, but I have absolutely no regrets!!! I plan to splurge on this again.

We have tried many different fruitcakes but this was by far the very best. The price may be considered high for the size, but it was so worth it! We will be buying that again!

This is the size of a cup cake! In today’s economy SO not worth it! Not hating on the nuns, but come on gals give us more for our money! I give this one thumbs down due to price! Way way way over priced!👎🏼

This is a really tasty fruitcake, but expensive. About four inches long, by 2 inches high and wide.

Cake was old tasting.

Not big enough for 4 people serving, but they loved the sample.

It truly is delicious, but wow is it small, especially for the price paid. The bourbon really comes through and taste is moist and fresh. Not many nuts, but quite a bit of candied fruit. I felt like there was plenty of variety and each bite was interesting. I wouldn't buy again due to the price, but flavor was decent.
