Have been extremely pleased with this spread and I’ve owned it for almost exactly a year now. If they’re still making them the same way, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another. It’s long on the sides all around, is heavy and lays flat when bed is made and it looks neat and sleek. Our pets are on it often and have not harmed it at all. It’s very strong and durable. It look’s extremely expensive. It really does. One would think I paid much more. Best thing : it washes and dries beautifully. I’ve washed it at least one or twice a month for a year. Comes out looking brand new with no wrinkling, smooth and sleek and classy. Even though it’s heavy, my regular washing machine has no problem with it bunching up and banging around, etc.—washes smoothly every time and dries in a relative short time. I usually have to dry for about 20 minutes on regular heat, turn it once in the dryer, and dry about 20 minutes more. I love everything about it. It was definitely one of my better purchases on Amazon, and one of the best purchases I’ve made in bedspreads over the years. I’ve bought SO many spreads I’ve been unhappy with in my long lifetime! With its soft Sherpa backing, (which also has remained white, soft and intact, no pilling, BTW) it would also make a terrific luxurious blanket. It’s quite warm because it lies heavy, but not stifling hot at all. One more comment, I wouldn’t call this fabric velvet in the traditional sense, this is more like a soft suede.

So I've bought this set twice now becauseI love it! My only complaint was being unable to purchase extra pillow cases. The first experience was great tho. The second time, however, not so much. My blanket had a hole in it. I contacted Amazon who said they wouldn't replace it. I'd have to buy it again... ridiculous! And what if it became unavailable after their bs process was through? Either way I chose to live with it. It was back up anyway. Not happy but good enough I guess. I finally used and washed it only to realise my first set of pillowcases were pretty much reversible with the fur lining inside... the second was not. No soft lining, just itchy weird material. So basically I don't know what happened between the first and second EXACT set... but the most recent has made me not want to buy them anymore. Sad because my kids love it and so does my sister (could have made good gifts).

I was so bummed about this quilt set. The quality seems really good, it has a nice weight to it and it's incredibly soft. BUT, and this is a big BUT, the color in real life is really off from the pictures. I got the beige which looked like a nice neutral beige online, but in reality it looks like a light yellow color. (I included a picture comparing the color with the online picture.)Even so, i still wanted to keep it because it looked so expensive and cozy, but the color did not work in my bedroom at all.

I really wanted a velvet type comforter quilt for my king size bed. I thought the sherpa on one side would add weight and warmth. It exactly fit the bed, falling just below the mattress. As it seems meant to be used with a platform bed or a bed skirt. It's the color that is the problem. I ordered burgundy and got mauve. No way even near the right color. I put a burgundy pillow by one of the shams to note the difference in color. I'm going to return for the chocolate which I'm assuming will be a light brown.

I JUST RECENTLY PUT THE QUILT ON MY BED AND I MUST SAY THAT PLEASANTLY SURPRISED. THE QUILT IS VERY SOFT - PLUSH LIKE. IT APPEARS TO BE REALLY GOOD QUALITY. IT FEELS REALLY NICE TO THE TOUCH. I ORDERED THE QUILT IN A KING AND THERE IS ENOUGH OF IT TO HANG OVER, A LITTLE, ON THE SIDES, I DEFINITELY APPRECIATE THIS. I'M PLEASED AND WILL CONSIDER ORDERING OTHER COLORS.THE ONLY ONE THING THAT I WAS A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED ABOUT IS THAT THE COLOR ORANGE IS NOT VERY ORANGE AT ALL. I WAS THINKING IT WOULD BE A LITTLE PUMPKIN-ISH IN COLOR BUT IT ISN'T. IT'S A NICE COLOR BUT VERY SOFT AND MUTED, ALMOST LIKE AN APRICOT COLOR. IT'S STILL NICE AND ACTUALLY LOOKS RICH.

These blankets are soft, warm and cozy. They wash very well too.I've bought three of these in 3 different colors. One for my daughter for Christmas, one for me for Christmas, and the third one for me because I liked it so much I wanted another in a different color!And they are big enough to nicely cover a regular 12-14 inch thick Queen memory foam mattress.So many of these blankets and quilts are too small. This one hangs long enough on all sides to cover the mattress and the foundation or box spring. Love it! By the way, I've also used this blanket with the sherpa side up and the soft velour side down... looked pretty good!Added: Just an FYI- the "orange" color really isn't orange. It's more of a copper/beige color which is exactly what I wanted. If you're expecting true orange- this isn't it.

They are exactly as described and are great at keeping you warm too without adding another blanket! One thing about the colors - they are not as dark as shown in the photos. They are more mauve-like “lighter or softer” colors. I just love them!I initially bought a light gray queen size one for my queen bed, but later decided to buy the king size which is perfect for it. In fact, I liked it so much I bought 2 more - a king size in beige and a king in burgundy. Later, I took the shams and had them cut to fit my queen size pillows and bought king size flat sheets to replace the queen size flat sheets.

I considered many other much more expensive comforters at department stores but am so glad that I found this one.
