Avenger FDT2IR Dual Fuel Vent Free Infrared Heater, Thermostat, Blower included, 20,000 BTU

This is probably the best little stove that we have ever purchased! We have used several stoves similar to this one that cannot compare to the efficiency of this one. It is the only one that burns clean with no odor at all. The thermostatic control is spot on and just with the control panel being located on the top for ease of operation is outstanding. We would recommend it to anyone who needs effective heat and clean burning. By the way, we are using it on propane in a 1200 sq. foot apt. on setting of 21/2 with an outside low temperature of 20 Degrees. It is maintaining a steady comfortable temperature of 68-70 degrees. Is there a better stove out there for the value of this one? I don't think so.

I live off grid in a 14x14 400 sqft cabin with a loft and I got this heater about a month ago after my old iceshack propane heater stopped working. I am quite impressed as this is dual fuel and comes with a blower installed which is usually an extra expense. It comes with feet for a portable unit or can be wall mounted with the included bracket. The instructions recommend a 100 pound or larger tank however I am running this heater just fine off a 20 pound tank with a regulator. It puts out very good heat from double radiant panels and also puts heat out of the top through vent holes and you can spread the heat faster with the fan.I am not using the fan at all as the heat fills my little cabin and I have it set on 2 and any higher would be too hot. The heater warms up objects in front of it up to about 6 feet away and also fills the room with heat. I have it in front of my couch so I can sit and watch TV and feel that radiant heat directly which warms my old bones on cold winter nights. I have used many propane heaters and appliances over my life and this one seems to be very well made with a piezo ignitor button, thermostat, blower, feet and a nice clean surface and dual fuel and for $139 I don't think you will find a better buy.

Excellent heater. i did put in a lower temperature fan switch so that the fan works in automatic mode better. but a great item, we always huddle around it! this costs me 12 cents per hour to run compared to my furnace which costs 54 cents/hour to run, its >12% more thermally efficient than a 80% efficiently furnace!

I bought this to replace another older flame version vent free heater without the blower. Same cost 14 years later and this has the blower included which warms my garage much faster. Easy to install, 15 minutes (had existing NG line) everything but the gas appliance hose.

It does what it says it does. Be aware you will need a 3/8 male pipe fitting to (whatever your gas connection type is). I use it with propane, the thermostat feature works great.The unit DOES have a smell the first few hours of use. I would advise you run it for a few hours outside if possible, and if not be ready to have all the windows open during the first few hours of running (the smell is the paint curing).My only gripe is that to maintain a comfortable temp in my office (about 63 degrees) I have the thermostat at just below setting #2, but it goes up to #5! I wonder how hot your room would be at those higher numbers? Seems like it could be calibrated better. Small gripe, doesn't remove from the fact that the product works well.What brings it down 1 star is that while the fan is pre-installed and included in the price, it moves practically no air. Its useless. And while you have a useless fan, it uses a rather thick cord (which is just in the way).

Awful smell the first few hours but now it's great

This stove kept my greenhouse perfectly toasty. I recommend a setting of about 1 to keep the temperature below 70 degrees.

Works beautifily. Love the dual fuel and Thermostaticly controled.
