My Amazing Garden: An Adult Coloring Book With Flowers, Plants, Succulents, And So Much More Paperback – September 2, 2020

I was a bit hesitant to buy and color in this book because it is not the kind of coloring that I prefer. I normally like grayscale with a fair amount of intricate coloring challenge. I have many of this author’s coloring books for adults, and I am glad that I decided to go with this book. It is fun….and relaxing.The pictures in this fun coloring book are all hand drawn flowers of all shapes and sizes. There is a nice variety from sunflowers and cacti to lilies, roses and tulips. Some are found growing wild and many are in various kinds of floral arrangements. There are also a few scattered birds, butterflies and insects nestled among the flowers. A few pages are assortments of leaves of various sizes and shapes.None of the illustrations are particularly difficult; however, a bit of patience may be necessary to color and blend the many small areas found on most pages.This is a fun coloring book that can be enjoyed by a variety of ages. Some of the pages might be a bit frustrating for a beginning colorist. The paper is lightweight, white and smooth, and are non-perforated, but there is plenty of space to easily remove them if one so desires. A few pages have a black background, a few completely fill the page; however, most backgrounds are left blank. That enables the colorist to either leave it blank or color as one pleases.I used gel pens, markers, colored pencils and chalk pencils. I had good luck with all; however, there was pretty significant bleed-through with the wet medium.

This book has it all. A delightful array of pictures to color. Some are easy and some more difficult. Something for everyone. The paper quality is superb for a $5 "pre-order" book. My $20 books do not have this quality of paper. I have used inexpensive and expensive pencils, and each lay down beautifully. This is not a thick book, which I like, as I get bored coloring 100 pictures of the same theme. I highly recommend this book for the beginner or experienced colorist.

This book is a nice mixture of drawings with lots of details & drawings with less detail. All pictures are printed on one side of the page but if using markers you’ll need to put something behind the page you’re coloring to protect the following pages. The paper could be heavier but for the price it’s a nice book.

So cute, not super detailed like others but that’s why I enjoy it. Has a bit of both, easier and more challenging pages to color.

I love all the drawings in this book. There's a variety of complexity and interesting line art styles. Unfortunately the publishing company just bought the art off of Shutterstock and then printed it on really thin paper. I can look at one page and see the black lines of the next page through the white space - it's practically tracing paper. For less than 10 dollars I'm not expecting art paper, but this is bad.

Impressed! Lots of pages, not overly challenging to colour. Pictures are all nice and different. Great for a gift.
